It's time for this pathetic Cory Proctor experiment to end, the guy is flat out horrible. New England released Al Johnson last week, I think he would be a more reliable backup center than what's on this roster now. I'd cut loose Proctor and bring in Johnson.

Parcells and Belichick (among others) have both cut Al recently. I'd imagine his knee is totally shot.

That's all I need to know

I know it sounds stupid but there has to be a reason Proctor is still here.

Maybe he has some naked pictures of Wade or something.

For some reason the headline of this thread made me think of a laxative, maybe I need to send a box of em to Cory because he needs to be flushed from this team.

I actually think Procter could be a very serviceable backup at center. I have no problem with him there. Given his shaky performance at guard last year, and the reputation he developed because of it, that bad snap to Kitna the other night just poured fuel on the fire. But actually, all in all, his performance in that game wasn't half-bad; couple mental mistakes, but nothing that more experience won't help fix. However, his solid play has been overshadowed by that one rocket-snap he made. Such is our sensationalistic attention-span.

But I actually think surrounded by Kosier and Davis, Procter could be a fine fill-in for Gurode. We'd lose some power, sure. The blocking schemes would have to change a little. Procter can't take on big DTs solo like Andre. But I think we can win some games with Cory at center, where we can hide his lack of power. I hope we never see it. But I don't envision the offense suddenly crippled if that happens.

Of course there is. They can't break up Free Reign.

Proctor was also engulfed and destroyed on the goal line during Choice's failed TD attempt. Of course most of the OL and the FB also got thoroughly embarassed on that play as well.

Other than botching a snap and almost getting the new back-up QB killed and hiking a shotgun snap over the head of the QB and costing the Cowboys a TD...other than that, he did pretty good!

Can we take Proctor, Barbie and Stanback and put them on a rocket and blast into outer space?

I bag on the guy, but I have to admit you are right.

Neither Proctor, Carpenter or Stanback are great, but both Proctor and Carpenter had bad games against the Raiders.

Proctor had the one bad snap, but other than that, he was very solid. And Carpenter appeared very solid in the nickle, and had a very solid, but very unspectacular game as a reserve LB.

Neither will win you any games if they are forced into action, but based on their play last night, they will not lose you any games either.

Two words.

Shaun Rogers

5 words:

He's still in his stance.

10 words (2nd Giants game):

That was Proctor's guy who kneed Romo in the back.

There has to be someone on the scrap heap.

This guy can't anchor.

Hello, Dallas.

I'd trade him for Anthony Hopkins. :lmao:

Proctor had two bad snaps. The second cost the Cowboys the game. He did ok blocking, but did have double team help alot of the time. I rewatched Carpenter and honestly he looks like he runs at half speed and can’t shed blockers. He had a few decent plays. Stanback dropped a TD pass and was ok in the kickoff returns, which we already knew he was good at. The rest of the preseason games will tell the rest of the story.

The horse is still dead.

I think if Johnson had anything left BP or Beliceck would have kept him until at least the end of camp.

Cut him but only when we get another lineman. Maybe after the second to last cuts in the NFL.

Until then, CP is strictly an emergency caliber player.
