Against AZ the boys had a hard time vs this, i really hope garrett made some adjustments.

Yeah, I was really hopeful that Costa was going to be the answer at center. He struggles adjusting laterally and contrary to what's been said, he gets overpowered at times on straight bullrushes.

Sometimes you can't hit a homerun on every undrafted free agent.

CS had a pretty interesting explanation for how or why he tends to get overpowered - its those short arms that doom him.

He is an okay backup but he should not start next year.

It's hard to say what we have in Kowalski.

He came from a pretty small school and was a UDFA.

He apparently isn't so physically limited (long arms, better agility) but he probably needed at least a year in the weight room. Hopefully we have a better idea of what he can do before the next draft.

I know there is supposed to be a decent 2nd round prospect in the draft from Georgia (Ben Jones) and some are talking about Brewster in the 3rd-4th round although he sounds like he is very limited against large NTs. Konz has a major medical risk. The best solution may be an average Center via FA depending on who is available. I still wonder if we shouldn't have drafted Wisniewski in the last draft and put him at Center instead of drafting Carter. If Carter ends up being a big playmaker at WILB then all is forgiven but it is frustrating how little playtime he sees this far into the year.
