Just heard him on WFAN...he was asked about the game Hakeem Nicks had...12 catches, 130 yards and 2 TD's

"He played well in the first half. I was disappointed with his second half performance. I was expecting more from him. But he did play very well in the first half"

He's demanding great performance at all times.

Compare that to Wade who sugar coats BAD performances.

As an aside, the host of the show earlier said "The Cowboys are the worst coached team in football"

Not that we didn't already know that.

Colin Cowherd just got done saying that our window to win a Super Bowl is closing - said that our elite players like Newman, Romo, Ware aren't getting any younger and we've been primed to win a championship for about 2 or 3 years now but because of coaching we won't get there.

I will give the baby faced Coughlin that. He says what he means and doesn't give two craps what anyone thinks.

And he has team balling right now. I bet they take the division.

That is what bothers me the most about what we're seeing. Talent is being wasted.

Nicks tortures his fantasy owners by tiptoeing out of bounds at the 1 like...all the time. If he could work on a last second end zone dive he would have about 12 TDs by now lol.

That approach ran afoul of the players here when Parcells used it. I think Marcus Spears said something about how Parcells didn't appreciate anything that they did.

Parcells basically did the same thing, where he would act like it was no big deal, when in reality he was only trying to instill in players that there's always one more thing that you can do.

Yeah, but I didn't like BP's day game coaching style.

The Cowboys are not the worst coached team in football. They are 1-3 and only down 6 points or so in the loss differential.

Coughlin has always been a good coach. He has had bad teams sometimes, and I am not convinced that this Giants team is amazing, but they are not terrible either.

Except for the offense, Wade's right now doesn't look much different. The D plays bend but don't break and the blitzes are terribly bland.

I agree.

What a difference a week makes.

For the first quarter of the season people were wondering if Coughlin was going to get c anned.

Bend but dont break only works for so long.
The Commanders better figure that out soon or they will be in trouble, unless the offense gets healthy and starts to execute.

Unfortunately, our 2 teams have dumb safeties. So playing aggressive is going to cost them even more.

The way in which we play in between the lines is my responsibility and I'm taking full responsibility for that

Was this Coughlin or Phillips? here's a hint... He doesn't coach the Cowboys.

Adding to this:

I was disappointed against the run, we played well against the pass except in the red zone, and obviously we had some missed tackles.

Take that against the Coughlin quote. Same theme. Disappointed in the play, but this one calls the whole defense out.

I wouldn't say dumb. But I would say outmatched and in bad spots to make the play.

Aggressive can protect or expose. It's a double edged sword.

He's 100% correct.

I'm not suggesting Coughlin is the second coming.

He's a pro though. Like him or not.

There is happy medium somewhere between the approaches of Parcells and Phillips.

But one thing I liked about Parcells is IF the team won, he was harder on them in practice the following week.

The Cowboys won ONE game and the talk started again.

Ya want to have an idea of how the two weeks prior to yesterday's game were spent? Just look at how the team came out to play starting the game.

Wade is a soft coach and shows Goofy or no emotion on the Sideline. This team making Dumb mistakes is all on the coaching. Jerry needs to get a Clue.
