Could Barber score 30 tds?

He has 4 in 2 games. If he stays injury free 20 is a gurantee. Can he get 30? I really dont think its out of the question. Every time were on the goaline he gets the ball. It doesnt hurt to have the best offense in the NFL.

Barber is still underrated imo. Not by our fan base but overall. Only till now is he starting to get his credit. What cant he do as a running back. He can catch, block and hes a bulldozer. The only thing lacking is the 4.3 speed. I remember watching him in Minnesota and was astounded to see he was drafted in the 4th round. Right now in the NFL he might be the 2nd best back in the league. Peterson is head and shoulders the top back in football now. LT is starting to take the Emmitt plunge and falling off the map with injuries. LT has had a bad toe now for 2 years I beileve. He hardly played Sunday and as good of a player that he is it might be the time to start looking ahead.

Westbrook????? Hes hurt too much. Your get a good argument here either way.

Ladanian Tomlinson through 2 games in 2006 (his 31 TD season):

50 carries for 202 yards for 4.0 YPC, 3 rushing TDs
10 catches for 69 yards for 6.9 YPC, 0 receiving TDs

Marion Barber through 2 games in 2008:

34 carries for 143 yards for 4.2 YPC, 3 rushing TDs
7 catches for 72 yards for 10.3 YPC, 1 receiving TD

Could the record be broken?

Despite the similarities from the first two games, I doubt it. I just don't think Marion gets enough touches to really have a shot at 30 TDs. I'd actually be surprised, and thrilled, if he got to 20. It's funny that you posted the question though, I had JUST been thinking about it myself.

i was gutless in my fantasy league draft.....which is really a scoring league...so yards do not count nearly as much as TDs.....I had the #3 overall pick...I picked Adrian Peterson because that is what the draft experts said I should do....plus my father in law is bank rolling our team...but I knew then and I know now that barring injury, Barber will score more TDs than any other RB in the NFL this year. He will actually score more than any other player outside of QBs. And he will outscore more than half the QBs in the NFL

MBIII fits this team exactly. He's a really good player whose coming into his own. But he's also very lucky to be playing on an explosive offense which moves the ball a lot and gets into or near the end zone a lot. I'm not taking anything away from MBIII cause I also believe the Cowboys very lucky to have him to compliment our passing game--plus he's also a really good receiver. I guess what I'm trying to say is he gets lot more chances to score TDs on the Cowboys then he would on another team where he'd be used a lot more as a rusher & less passes thrown.

I think thats a stretch and with the number 3 pick I would have taken Westbrook over AP I was able to get Westbrook at #4 and I was happy. Its not just TD's you have to factor in catches and receiving yards those all also points.

The only knock on Barber(from some fans, not me) is that he is/wasnt a starter. So some scaled back their view on him.

Its even more amazing what he has accomplished in a short time with less opps than a starter.

The guy is a QUALITU, PRODUCTIVE player. Enough said.

not in my league....my league is brutal....you only get 2 pts for rushing for 100 yards....2 pts for 100 yards receiving...2 pts for throwing for 300 yards.....you get 3 pts if you catc/rush for 150+ yards. All TDs under 40 yards are 5 pts...over 40 yards are 10 pts. You are worthless in my league if you do not get in the endzone. Larry Fitgerald is my WR. He had 7 catches for 150+ yards Sunday and 0 TDs. He only score d 3 pts for me Sunday with those numbers.

Marion Barber will be a TD machine this year....he will score more TDs than any other non QB in the NFL.....and I was gutless. I was also gutless when it comes to Cutler. After watching him this summer I KNEW he would put up numbers. Yet I drafted Anderson based on his production last year....I think ANderson will be benched/traded be for the year is out and Crenell will be fired this offsesaon.

Actually I wasnt even going there. If he starts his season or career will be shortened. Period.

I hope we go with Felix more and more and use Barber as the situational RB. He fits MANY situations so its a good thing... I would like to see him just about splitting carries with Felix.

No way he scores 30 with Romo on this team. This team is pass first, unless Barber gets a ton of TDs to put the game out of reach, we won't see him get 30. I think Choice will be getting the garbage time carries anyways.
