It's really hard to go 2-0 in this league to start a season unless you're really one of the dominant teams (we aren't) or you play a couple of patsies (we didn't). Teams who lose week one tend to win week 2; teams that win week 1 tend to lose week 2. There is always a heavy dose of 1-1 teams at this point, teams who don't really know what they are.

On the one hand, that beat-down was better than losing week 1 to the Giants and then defeating Denver. We defeated a team that dominated us last year, and then we crapped the bed on the road, a long road trip.

Like most teams, what's on paper doesn't really matter; we have no idea what kind of team this is going to be, especially with all the youngsters being thrust into prominent roles.

Things could be worse ... if we win on the road vs. Arizona, there will be hope.
Things could be much worse ... if we crap the bed on the road again, this season could turn very very ugly, not 3-13 ugly, but disappointing none-the-less.

Dak, Zeke, and most of the defense have something to prove this week, and their performances will determine whether or not they experience any love or continued attacks from the media and fans.

Beating the Giants doesn't mean nothing this year. They are in very bad shape on the offense side. Every year is different.

with the coaching and the defense I never thought this was a playoff team
Correct. This is a club that is a head Coach and 2 defensive drafts away from a SB. Simple. They can be competitive but its a struggle to get to a Conference Championship Game without a HC and a bigger struggle without a Defensive leader. Forget the sizzle mentality of the NFL...its defense that wins a SB. That can not be substituted by clapping your hands and saying the politically correct things.

Every NFC East win means something. It's really all that matters. Win and your in. Yeah the Giants suck, but that Giants win meant so much more than that Denver loss in the grand scheme.

We won't lose to Arizona.

A road game there is our home away from home too.

They just don't have enough firepower to beat us.

I am with you for the most part - but a long road trip?? What a two hour flight from Dallas to Denver? Come on.

I am still of the belief that we need to switch Collins and Green. I heard Green was getting rag dolled in the game??Can anyone verify that? We need that push in the middle. Collins has that kind of power - Green does not.

I think this team needed a good *** kicking. They were thinking it was going to be another smooth ride and this was exactly what the doctor ordered. They better knuckle down, get back to the basics and attention to detail - sum up the game any way you want but it comes down to the basics. We did not block very well and we did not tackle well. Period.
