It's really hard to go 2-0 in this league to start a season unless you're really one of the dominant teams (we aren't) or you play a couple of patsies (we didn't). Teams who lose week one tend to win week 2; teams that win week 1 tend to lose week 2. There is always a heavy dose of 1-1 teams at this point, teams who don't really know what they are.
On the one hand, that beat-down was better than losing week 1 to the Giants and then defeating Denver. We defeated a team that dominated us last year, and then we crapped the bed on the road, a long road trip.
Like most teams, what's on paper doesn't really matter; we have no idea what kind of team this is going to be, especially with all the youngsters being thrust into prominent roles.
Things could be worse ... if we win on the road vs. Arizona, there will be hope.
Things could be much worse ... if we crap the bed on the road again, this season could turn very very ugly, not 3-13 ugly, but disappointing none-the-less.
Dak, Zeke, and most of the defense have something to prove this week, and their performances will determine whether or not they experience any love or continued attacks from the media and fans.
