Could Dallas put up 49 points routinely?

Something tells me that last night won't be Peyton's last game around 49 points this year. I've posted before how I view the personnel is very similar to Denver. Granted Peyton maybe the GOAT but Romo isn't without credit.

So when the Boys offense is rolling, can it have the same productivity?

I would attribute much of last night's debacle to the high altitude. By the 4th quarter, the Ravens where gassed. When we play, it will be here and they still will not have the services of Von Miller. I still like our chances, regardless of scoring ability.

Yes. I give their entire receiving corp a slightly higher rating than ours, especially with the emergence of Julius Thomas, but our running backs are significantly better than theirs.

This is silly. Can Denver put up 49 points consistently?

With the turbo no huddle, I think he can. If the Broncos defense forces 3 and outs will have Peyton make the opposition begging for mercy by the end much like last night.

When was the last time dallas had a season where they put up 49 points routinely? How about 40 points? When was the last time an NFL team put up 49 points routinely throughout a season?

What did New England do in 2007?

You guys are taking the OP way too literally. He did not mean the team would average 49 points per game, but was simply questioning whether we have the same offensive firepower as the Broncos, which could occasionally lead to 40+ points. I think we do.

No team can, though I'll be happy if Dallas can put up 30 points "routinely".

2007-08 New England Patriots: 589 (36.81 Points Per Game)
The Patriots combined a seemingly unstoppable offense (589 points) with a bend-but-don't-break defense that only surrendered 274 points. The Patriots scored 34 or more points in nine of their first ten games. They had a string of five games where they scored 48, 49, 52, 24 and 56. Patriots head coach Bill Belichick was constantly accused of running-up-the-score because they'd run fake spikes and go for it on fourth down when up by huge margins.

Routinely might not mean average for the whole season but it is much closer to that than occasionally.

If this team puts up 49 points with regularity they'd probably be giving up a minimum of 30 on the other end

I guess if we cheated, we might be able to average 36 but even then, I doubt it.

So you think the Broncos can put up a record breaking performance routinely. Which planet do you live on?

I hate to point out the obvious, but until we stop getting so many penalties, we are going to leave points on the field every game. Hopefully this is the year we turn the corner.

Well, let's see:

Denver QB > Dallas'
Denver Oline > Dallas'
Denver WR/TE group = or > Dallas'
Denver DST > Dallas' (until proven otherwise) so that gives better field position to off or even scores
Plus 49 points is rare for any team except the 2007 Pats.

Okay, that about sums it up.
I assume i don't need to answer the OP in a yes or no fashion

Not routinely can the Boys put up 49 points, but it will have to score A LOT this season to make up for the very poor defensive front we'll have during the early season. When you have Ware and then mostly journeymen, the opponents will be scoring a lot of points.

This worries me, A lot. Obviously, Jerra and Jason approached the season not worrying that much, even while seeing Ratliff whining about injuries and Spencer being "injured."
