Could Devin Street Breakout In 2015?

I don't think he'll have a breakout season, but I would be surprised if he he didn't receive more targets this year. Unless you're a high round pick, the expectations for a WR is a gradual transformation into the system.

There should be some sort of emergence of Escobar his third season

If he gains again in the weight room like he did last year, he could become the primary H over Hanna. If he does that then he could break out. He was in on all those 5 WR sets slotted next to TWill and right at about half the 12 personnel snaps last season. Romo still fixated on Dez and Witten though. Linehan's answer to team's fixating on one side of the field was to move Dez around, he played a lot more slot and X then he has before, or he would just flip the formation.

Romo is full go this offseason so that should help integrate the ancillary characters.

Devin Street, WR
Speaking of Devin Street, I'm really looking forward to seeing what one-year of NFL polish can do for the young man. Derek Dooley is supremely high on the player and believes he deserves more opportunity to shine. He will certainly get a lot of reps with Dez Bryant in contract-limbo. As I've said in my previous column, Street has a SPARQ score of 127.8 which when applied to this year's class would have had him as a Top 15 prospect at the position. He's got great hands and is Pitt's all-time leading receiver. There is a lot to like about him and from what I hear, he has bulked up a bit. Street looks to make a jump at being a more integral part of the offense and already has impressed coaches with his downfield blocking abilities. When the Cowboys lost Dwayne Harris, they lost a few tools in their Swiss Army knife, hopefully Street can help them recover a few.

Dez Bryant's SPARQ score was 128.6.

This is how Street (1st number) and Bryant (2nd number) compare in testing.

Height: 6.24, 6.20
Weight: 198, 224
40 time: 4.5, 4.52
10 yd split: 1.56, 1.53
(S) Shuttle: 4.01, 4.46
3 Cone: 6.72, 7.10
Bench: 12, 14
Vertical: 37.0, 38.0
Broad: 10.33, 11.08

Pecking order for Cowboys receptions:
1. Dez
2. Witten
3. RBs
4. Beasley
5. Williams
6. Street if he beats out Farmer and Goodley for the WR4 spot.

I'm gonna go with no.

That #6 is a big if, I think Goodley beats the Street.

Devin Street's fate will depend on whether he makes clutch catches in clutch moments. That is why Terrance Williams is currently the household #2 Wide Receiver for the Cowboys. It is the big TDs he made against Houston, Detroit (twice), and especially that non-TD 20 yard toe-tapper in Seattle.

We need to see that from Devin Street. I would love to see that!

T-Willy is a stud, one of the unsung heroes around here..

Street tested a lot more athletically than given credit for around here. Maybe Dooley isnt just pumping the guy.

Dez only having a 38 inch vert is shocking to me.

Plays like he has a 45 inch vert on gamedays.
