Could it be that we all overrated Garrett?

He has a few things he needs to work out, but he will be a great coach. His biggest issue IMO is play calling in short yardage situations.

I think Jason Garrett will be fine, I think it's our players who are overrated.

Craig

Jason is the right head coach for this team. Knows the ownership. Understand the tradition. Has played for and with winners. Is being the head coach and play caller too much, especially for a young team that cannot run...that is my question.

I don't see how we can be overrated when we have won the games were supposed to win and lost the ones we were predicted to lose.

I'll stay with 10-6

I'll give Garrett credit for 1 thing as a HC.. He has the Cowboys playing hard for 4 quarters.

It's just I still don't like his situational football and how he manages the game sometimes.

With that said if his QB wasn't a knucklehead he'd be sitting at 4-0.

We just went about them backward -- blowing big leads against the tougher opponents and coming from behind against the weaker ones. Well, except that the supposedly weaker teams are 6-0 in their other games.

In fact, our opponents are a combined 10-2 against the rest of the NFL, and our last three opponents are a combined 9-0 against other teams (1-2 against us).

What happened to only hanging out in the Off-topic zone, homie? Lol.

Time will tell. He still has my support.

We want instant results in our microwave culture. Jason Garrett's tenure is not going to be decided by a few games. He's 7-5 so far, but he's having to work with an awful offensive line and a 3-4 scheme without a true NT.

But despite his play-calling, I like the direction he's going. I like the Tyron Smith pick. That indicates he understands that football teams are built from the line back, unless you have a chance to pick a franchise quarterback.

I also like the Rob Ryan hire. I think Garrett will get it done. But as they say, Rome wasn't built in a day.

I've come out of the first four games believing that the Dallas Cowboys are as good as any team but Green Bay.

It's week 4, the jury's still out. This loss really sucks, but it could be worse.

We'll find out a lot in two weeks. Playing at New England isn't a must win, but Romo and the defense had better play well and at least give us a shot to win. New England's defense has been surprisingly bad, so I'd have to think that we can put up quite a few points if Romo avoids committing multiple turnovers.

Yep. Exactly.

I really have hope for a win against NE. I'm sure Rob will be in his brother's ear a whole lot over the next couple of wks.

Don't forget that Rob's defense faced the Patriots last season and held them to 14 points and 283 total yards. And that was with only one sack and no interceptions against Brady.

next year i think that garrett needs an experienced offensive cordinator to help him call plays better. i am not saying he should not call the plays but someone to consult with. i just wish that garrett would try to run more and not be afraid to punt sometimes. let the defense dictate the outcome of games not turnovers. if we lose by defense mistakes fine but to lose because of turnovers give you no chance to win.

Well, the guy is 7-5 and 2 of those losses were so epic they are in the record books now.

We are also 30th in red zone scoring in the NFL.

Is this good enough to be the real deal?

Most people will be on his side because of his past with dallas. But he sure needs to manage the 4th Quarter better.

In all honesty, I don't see Garrett reaching his full potential until he hires an OC. Then he focus solely on managing the game and it's situational demands.
