Looks like prime times son is not quite ready for prime time or so it seems
I think this has Jerry meddling all over it give Deon a call tell him to tell Junior to say a couple more stupid things on social media and he could drop right in our lap at the fifth round.

I haven't followed his career as closely as I should have but I don't think we would be hurt taking him in the fifth round as many people have him projected as more talented than that.

Might be worth the chance and in all honesty I can't see Jerry passing up the opportunity to bring this kind of attention to our team almost seems like a slam dunk in Jerry's world.
What's everybody's thoughts will Jerry do this is prime Jr worth a fifth could he turn into a starter for our team one day give me some feedback

It is exactly something they would do.
At this point, I say do it. If for anything the entertainment it will create on here.
As well as the media circus it brings to Jerry World.

Think of all the Jersey's it will sell.
Think of Sanders being the first QB in the modern era to wear a QB number higher than 19.
You know Jerry will go against the NFL, and give him #21.

Jerry would do something dumb like give him Staubach's #12.

I predicted he wouldn't go in the first, but Sanders won't be there when we pick again unless we trade up...of course I would have said that in the 3rd as well :p
My issue is...you think he/his father is going to quietly sit there with no shot of playing for at least one year and probably at least two years without being a distraction? That is the exact opposite of what this HC wants. It isn't likely IMO even if he is there

He won't last that long. But if he did, sure I'd take him and flip him for a higher pick next year.

I'm with you I don't think we could get hurt in the fifth round taking this guy.
Beyond that I don't know how Jerry could save himself from himself and not do this he and prime are good buddies just like family it would just be like adding another member of the cowboy family.
I think this would be the easiest sell he would ever have to try and make the fans May embrace it

If they did not trade for Milton, I would be all for it.

You have Dak for at least 2 more years minimum and Milton for 3 years on the cheap

Let them compete in camp and see who rises to the top it would sure make the preseason games interesting to watch with these two youngsters squaring off.

Sure a heck of a lot more entertaining than watching Cooper Rush in preseason

In all honesty I think prime has a lot better chance of getting Jerry to play his son because they're friends .

At this point Junior has dropped into backup quarterback development mode.

Who does prime have any more clout with than Jerry to get his son playing time

Honestly if he is their in the 5th he will widely be the best player on the board.
Unless a DT they really like falls to the 5th. Joshua Farmer from Florida St. He is more of a 3-tech but he has an explosive first step.
Or Jordan Phillips as a run stuffing DT.
Or take a chance on Deone Walker DT from Kentucky.

Or JJ Pegues DT Ole Miss in round 6 or 7.

Joshua Farmer all day, every day > Deone Walker

They will not take him. They won't do that to their fraud starter.

I got to agree I think he'd be the most talented player left on the board.
That said he is the one with the most baggage and obviously from the interviews no day at the beach.
But if anyone could have a heart-to-heart with his father and straighten his little entitled behind out a bit it would be Jerry

I don't think you're taking into account Jerry's favorite thing having attention drawn to him and the team and this pic late in the game would certainly do it.

Along with the fact the gamble for Jerry has to just be so tempting if this kid were to turn out and become a great starting quarterback for our team Jerry would look like the absolute football genius that he wants to be regarded as taking this guy late in the draft.

Dak is in Dallas through 2028 (4 more years). The FO isn't going to cut bait before then and take the huge cap hit. Barring another injury (and I realize at this point that may be wishful thinking), Dak is capable of taking the Cowboys to a SB, and I don't care what anyone else thinks about that.

This is a team game and Dak it's not capable of taking the Cowboys past the first round of the playoffs without the proper coaching and talent added to the roster.
This has been proven positive now that he is paid a king's Ransom it makes it difficult to add the amount of talent that he needs to get further in the tournament.
That said even if he made 20 million a year who's to say Jerry would use the other 40 constructively to build the roster.

Tough being a Cowboys fan no easy answers here just a hard way to go from start to finish
