We don't even have a roster spot for another developmental interior OL, honestly. This would be a wasted pick, in my book.

:lmao2:

now that is funny right there
i almost spit my coffee

one of the worst OLs in the NFL does not have room for a starting center from a premier program who could likely walk in and be the starter (let me guess becasue we already have world beaters like costa)

and we wonder why we dont have an OL worth a darn:banghead:

BS. And you would be wrong.
Maybe, but lots of guys look at it as a profession, rather than a lifestyle. The great ones all love the game, sure, but I think there are those of that crowd that don't. Heck, I think you could go through the Dallas defense over the last few years and find a ton of guys who don't really love the game.

Off the top of my head...Spears, Jenkins, Sensi, Tank, Pacman, Newman, and I'd even argue Ware. That doesn't mean they can't be good players, but the reality is that football is still just a game to a lot of guys, and, if not for the massive paychecks, they wouldn't play.

Wasn't it Herschel Walker who said he never really loved to play football? And how many guys have said they don't watch football after they retired?

I've spent quite a bit of time watching Holmes. I believe that he would be a day-1 starter. He is known to be the leader of the USC OLine and basically a coach to the younger OLinemen.

I don't watch Ware and think, wow, this guy loves football. You see that in guys like Dez, but I dont see that in him. He has lot of other stuff going on in his life, mostly his family, which means that, if the game was gone, he'd be fine. I'm not trying to say there is something wrong with that, but its just the way it is.

Half of that assessment was incorrect and the other half was speculation.

Only thing right was that he doesn't anchor well and isn't really strong. His strength can certainly improve. That being said he is technically very sound. He does play with good balance. He isn't hyped because he is a center first of all, and secondly he probably doesn't fit in more power based man schemes. He does however fit perfectly in our zone scheme. Sandwiched by legit guards, he will excel.

Is that your speculation on the matter?

He does have issues with his technique. He pops up way to high in pass block and because of this, he gets knocked off his feet or off balance way too often. You can see that in youtube clips of him. You don't even have to watch the games to see that. Doesn't really matter, you like him so I doubt you would see what I see. That's OK
