Could Kosier be backup center?

In the event that we did draft Duke Robinson or Herman Johnson and they made their way into the starting lineup could KK backup Andre at center? It seems he would certainly have the mental makeup?

That way with KK and Holland as interior backups we would be set.
All we'd need to do then is find Flo's successor.

Mentally he could probably handle it but he's not big enough to take on NT's.

Sounds like a plan. Don't really know the draft prospects, but I like the idea of drafting at guard and if talent permits, demoting Kosier & Holland as quality backups.

I wouldn't want him to. He's capable of being both the swing tackle and the swing guard. You'd have to activate another linemen every game day to replace that.

co sign

plus this line struggled when he went down and lost its cohesiveness

why would you then want to see a rookie take his starting spot and have him at back up center rather then find a decent backup center in draft.

I think the backup C isnt on the roster right now, but will be after the draft.

And it might be somebody who can play C & G.

Surely he could snap from the shotgun a little better than Gurode.

I've never understood what the hell he is doing with that stuff.

Call me a homer, but a guy I'd love to see in Dallas is UTEP's Robbie Felix. But he's small; 6'3 302 (compared to Gurode's 6'4 318). Plus he had a stroke last year. He's fine and cleared to play but... The upside is that he plays w/ a lot of fire (think Marc Columbo); a real nasty fighter in there. UTEP ran the shotgun a lot and his snaps were very accurate. PRobably too slow for the NFL though
