Just want to know everyone else's opinion on this, the Guy runs a 4.2 and did some returning for LSU.I think he could be just as good if not better than any other Guy we put back there, why not give him a shot? With his breakaway speed,he could be so dangerous!!!What do y'all think?

I think he could. I believe he was a kickoff guy.

I would rather find somebody else though. After the Dez injury putting guys with such importance out there scares me, but you definitely can't play scared.

Assuming Demarco is healthy we will see felix returning kicks and Harris handling punts. That is my guess at least.

I don't care who returns kicks, its almost pointless to have someone back there.

Dez should handle the punts.

He could do it, but I highly doubt they will.

I guess the thinking is that you dont risk injury to one of your star players, kinda why Dez is not returning anymore.

I wouldn't say that, there were quite a lot of returns last season.

I don't want Mo returning anything but a pick 6. Too much risk for injury.

Felix is only a part-time player, he's a first-round draft pick, we're not getting our money's worth if he isn't returning kicks... And he's good at it...

Scared money dont make money, you gotta put your best playmakers out on the field and let them do what they do best..MAKE PLAYS

I agree with you on this.

His return skills definitely aren't good enough to warrant the risk

I'd go far enough to say, even if you guaranteed he'd never get hurt, he still wouldn't be our guy because he's not good enough at it..he doesn't have the quick twitch ability to be special at returns

Yeah, that's not Mo returning kicks

I would in the playoffs or games w/ playoff implications. And in those situations, only if it's necessary. Same goes for Dez.

And it's just not the injury factor. I would like to see some of these kids who wouldn't otherwise see the field much an opportunity.

I sure hope not.

I'd rather use a guy like Felix Jones on kickoffs and Harris on punts.

If we are in desperate need of a big return then there is always Dez.

If they really feel like he is the best guy for it,and he isn't starting over Jenkins/Carr (even though I realize 3rd CBs are basically starters now) he should do it.

People always talk about the injury risk associated with being a return man, but look around the NFL at top return men. Devin Hester, how many big games has he missed due to injury? He has missed a total of 4 games in 6 years, despite being a return man for most of his career. Josh Cribbs, how many games has he missed due to injury? 4 games in 7 years, despite being the primary returner for his team. Tedd Ginn Jr? A total of 4 games in 5 years.

My point is, the risk of injury is always there, every down in football. But I think we overrate the injury risk. Just because Dez got hurt on a freak injury returning a kick doesn't mean that the risk is astronomical. In special situations the reward outweighs the risk. Just IMO.

No, absolutely not.

Use Dez. He won't learn the playbook anyway, so it's gives us a way to get the ball in his hands without having to read coverage.
