Could Revel be the leader this team needs

I'm not in favor of rookies thinking they have to be a leader their first year. Show you can be a follower to the guys that have already earned the right to lead. In your second year your leader skills will be more in demand so wait until then to shine as a leader. Its too bad leadership is not taught in college.
 
I want a leader like Dez was and I hope that's him

And no I don't care about fans saying "Dez needed to shut up and play the game quietly"

Please .....

Talk, scream, yell, show passion because this team needs it.....
 
Perhaps if the OP read “a leader” and not “the leader” it would be a more attainable goal.

If the leader on that side of the ball isn’t someone named Parson’s or perhaps an experienced vet like Osa, this team is in trouble.

The position Revel plays would also make him a less likely candidate. Playing in the front 7 affords more opportunities to negatively impact the rhythm of what’s happening on the other side of the ball. The leader doesn’t have to be the most disruptive force but it makes it more likely.

For Revel, you should be happy getting a healthy CB on the field 1st and maybe have him flash some of that potential during his initial season. If those things can be accomplished, with a good off-season in 2026, you may start to see the player he can be next year.

No he can't. All the "leaders" the Cowboys have had the last few years (including ROH and HOF guys) couldn't provide any leadership needed to help get the Cowboys any deeper in the playoffs. It's just extremely difficult for me to see a rookie CB coming in and suddenly POOF! things are different.

I think it's fairly obvious Revel will be a combination of Prime, Ronnie Lott, and Sauce Gardner, and will single handedly carry thus team to the SuperBowl and beyond. Perhaps even to Mars.

The OP asked, could....he didn't crown anyone. He's merely starting a discussion...how dare he do that, on a discussion board, knowing that some are waiting, just to jump out and turn every thread, into a negative thread. Please share your thoughts.

if this team has a tough early schedule and hasnt started to gel yet and they start off 1-4, you will have a field day in here lol
