My friend and I were talking yesterday, and just having this guy's name on our team, we could all rejoice about Gindorff the Gandolf.

He's a blocking type TE, 268, and most of the pundit rankings don't have him all that high, but that's the kind of player who I could see having success, because he's very steady in the blocking game.

Anyone else out there contemplating this player as a Cowboy? I feel like he's a draft-able prospect, and if I needed a certain type of TE, I'd be willing to pull the trigger on him in round 3.

Guy is huge, and pretty mobile for his size. And I personally think a blocking TE, would suit us well, if he were just great at blocking, for teams like San Fran.

And for Dak.

Currently rated the 16th TE on the board. I believe they would go Brayden Willis if it came to it.

But I’m always wrong lol

He looks more like a UDFA or a 7th rounder, certainly not a 3rd.

I don't think you can carry a TE who isn't a receiving threat in today's game. Just like you can't carry a kick-off specialist. Just not enough spots.

I terms of stats, Dalton Schultz wasn't a receiving threat. A lot of these college receiving threat guys won't be as good as some think. Or am I too old school, thinking that blocking is more important than it is?

I admit, 3rd is probably a bit too early and hasty. But I have a feeling he plays in a the league for a long time, wherever he goes, if he goes. Just because of the type of player, that's still important. And I think he has the tools to be a receiver.

Maybe 6th or 7th.

Then again, it's always nice to have guys who can do both.

I think Hendershot rated around the same area last year.

I'm just looking at guys not named LaPorta, who may have something to their game that we don't already have.

Well, I admit, it's prob too early. But in hindisght, Hendershot looks like a better prospect...Some of the guys between the top guys are like our current players, which is why I suggest this...

Unless it's Musgrave or Kuntz, theyre getting a lot of the same guys...and like I said, I'm likely early on round 3..but I could see him be drafted day 3.

Also, it's not a declarative statement.. question.

No.

I think they like the blocking ability of Ferguson, Hendershot and McKeon.

One of these TEs is definitely their favorite:
Michael Mayer
Dalton Kincaid
Sam Laporta
Zack Kuntz
Luke Musgrave
Darnell Washington
Tucker Kraft
Luke Schoonmaker
Brenton Strange
Davis Allen
Josh Whyle
Cameron Latu
Payne Durham
Will Mallory
Brayden Willis
Blake Whiteheart
Noah Gindorff
Leonard Taylor
Travis Vokolek
Joel Wilson
Griffin Hebert
Kyle Patterson
Daniel Barker
Jack Colletto
Jahleel Billingsley
Ben Sims
Johnny Lumpkin
Princeton Fant

That's a long list. I guess I just have visions of a blocking TE.

Zeke is gone. They need another blocker on the field to keep Dak upright. One who can go out for a pass sometimes, to keep them honest.

I'm almost positive it won't be Billingsley unless he's UDFA. JMO.

I like Latu a lot, Strange, Durham, Shoonmaker, Kraft, Washington.

We'll see. I heard they don't like Washington. But i think that's because he was in the convo in the first round. That's my theory, at least.

Yes, you (Pass2Run) are one of my favorite posters during the season and preseason but your takes on the draft seem like a different person has taking over your account...

Same guy here.

You probably just take yourself too seriously to notice.
