Could we go with only 2 QB's?

Indy does it. It is unusual in this day and age but teams used to routinely go with 2 guys at QB. I'm not a Henson basher but it looks like the handwriting is on the wall in bold print that he has no future here. With Bledsoe being basically an iron man and roster spots this year at a premium, maybe it's time to let DH move on.

I've heard the complaint about the 3m cap hit but I'm not sure why that's relevant at this point with our roster close to set and us being like 15m under the cap. You do run a risk if both QB's are injured in the same game but the odds of that happening are low. Thoughts?

The 3rd string qb doesn't count towards the game day roster so other than taking up a spot on the 53 man roster it doesn't hurt us.

I don't think the team is giving up on him as of yet and at least according to BP his spot in not in jeopardy.

OLinemen are more apt to get injured than QB's and we only dress 8 of them or so for each game.

True but then the 3rd QB is considering inactive and is emergency only so it is not as if the 3rd QB is taking a game day roster spot away from anyone.

That's actually not a bad idea, especially if you have a couple guys like Crayton and Skyler Green on the active roster that can take some snaps in an absolute dire emergency situation.

Stash Baker on the practice squad and if Bledsoe goes down find a vet backup for Romo... if both Bledsoe and Romo go down, we're screwed anyway so what does it matter if Henson's around in that scenario?

The roster spot is valuable this year, is it not? We still don't know for sure whether we need to use a roster spot on an extra kicker and there's some bubble guys like Glymph, Elam, Hurd, Fabini and Stanley that could be kind of hard to see go.

What trouble? If your starter and backup are both injured in the same game that game was probably not going well anyway. If they're both seriously hurt your season's probably done either way. If just one is seriously hurt you go sign a vet like Kerry Collins who's waiting for his phone to ring. Indy's been going with 2 QB's for years and their backup doesn't have much more experience than Romo.

I think we will go with Vandy kicking off also as long as he shows he can do it ok. To me that's not a lock though since it's been a couple years since he kicked off and he was below average then.
