Is the Fasano pick insurance in case they can't re-sign Jason? I guess I have always taken it for granted that we would re-sign him. This pick scares me, not for the player but for the implication for the future.

I'm still not sure if he'll be a UFA or RFA. If the former, then hopefully we can convince to sign an extension before the end of the season. Otherwise, in the offseason he might be tempted to check out the marketplace as a young All-Pro TE would a really prized commodity and he'd be offered a lot of dough by another team.

heh - oh my. how could i ever forget the monumental signing of hannam. you're right, that solidified the position as much as anything.

i'm not touting it as a good pick - i hate it. but it has NOTHING to do with witten being here or gone and that is all the junk i was tired of hearing.

Franchise tag for TE is cheap, he will never get to visit other teams
