Why would Wentz take a penny less to be a backup for the Cowboys?

It wouldn’t happen, but getting all that money regardless could hypothetically make it easy for him to take a small deal. But if he were willing to do that it certainly wouldn’t be in Dallas because he’d have a number of suitors

Given his recent benching if salary wasn’t an issue he would ideally be the BEST back up quarterback in the league.
Getting him on a cheap salary and letting him learn from Dak for 2-3 years May make him serviceable.
