this is the count down thread to the time that Colombo returns!

Hopefully
6 days 3 Hours 22 Minutes

keep updating it as you like!

I don't think we should be so excited as to count down for his return. Probably couldn't be as bad as Barron but you never know.

Hard to get excited about an old, oft-injured OT who will probably have to be shelved again at some point this season. In all honesty, Dallas' best hope is probably that one of the kids can do a decent job. Can't do much worse than Baron's pass blocking last night. It was like 2004 all over again, and we're depending on Rob Petitti.

Actually, Petitti is available and would probably be an upgrade. And, no, I'm not kidding. I think he would.

:lmao2: this is sad but true. at least petitti acted like he cared. :laugh2:

We don't know if Colombo is truly ready yet. Either way, the Bears are going to test the RT position Juilus Peppers hoping for a repeat of last night / the Vikings playoff game.

Didn't Mankins play tackle in college?

"In his final season in 2004, Mankins returned to start every game at left tackle and did not allow a sack or pressure on the season. He was a first team All-Western Athletic Conference selection and recored a school record 82 knockdown blocks on the season. He also was the first offensive lineman in school history to win the team's MVP award."

When did Columbo turn into a pile of mush?

He shouldn't have played in the Minny game...he was still hurt! He gave up three sacks in a preseason game, 2 of which were COVERAGE sacks.

I long for him to be playing after the absolute disgrace I witnessed last night.

Let's just hope he's READY to return. Because the last time he returned from injury he wasn't ready and the results weren't much better (probably worse, actually).

We will have to wait and see; maybe that knee operation will help him regain form.
