I hope that all of you had some fun with the countdown to the Draft threads. It was a little bit of a pain to post stuff for some of the players twice as they had HOF threads and ROH threads too. We've been blessed to have some great players pass through this team over the years. I wish the Hall of Fame and its voters realized just how lacking they are. It was fun to remember things about each one of those legends that were special to the fans.
Well, we couldn't leave you gasping and grasping for topics all the way to Training Camp. That just wouldn't be decent. So, we decided to have some primers for the countdown to Training Camp too.
First of all there will be a countdown timer similar to the Draft countdown timer at some point. Most likely it is going to be about a month before Training Camp that it will show up.
Second of all, beginning Friday morning there will be some countdown threads beginning again and leading all the way up to the Draft. Since all of our Hall of Famers and Ring of Honor players have their threads in the History Zone, they won't be the subject of these threads.
Consider these threads "Dallas Cowboys 101." Everything you could hopefully want to know about the Dallas Cowboys for the days leading up to Training Camp. If when the threads start getting posted you think something should be added, chime in, and we may make these threads even more information packed.
Each day there will be a new thread and it will be stickied. The next morning it will be moved to the History Zone. At the end of the countdown all of those threads where the members contributed will just like the HOF and ROH threads have a link back to the daily countdown threads and the final thread will be a sticky in the History Zone where you can quickly find the information posted.
Some of you have noticed my new theme of "Embrace the Hatred." In reality what this means is "Embrace the History." That being the History of the Dallas Cowboys, America's Team. Just like America, people either love us, or they hate us. It simply doesn't bother me if they hate us, because just like America, we have great History. If they want to hate us I say that's a great thing because no one hates the doormats, they hate the pinnacle.
Well, the History of the Cowboys is something I hope we all love. If you haven't visited the History Zone lately I hope you will. That may be the most information packed forum on this site, and hopefully these threads just add to this.
I love talking about the Cowboys. I must, because this is 40,000 posts of doing just that on this forum. You all make it fun. Thank you.
