Really short as I just caught the tail end of the segment, but a couple of things:

-- Galloway says his sources at Valley Ranch claim we really like Golden Tate.

-- Steve Dennis "guarantees" we will make a trade on draft day involving a player on our roster (e.g. as ammo to move up).

I bet Mosley had something before those guys, but I missed it. Of course he'll probably blog it later anyway.

CL,

Thanks very much.

Maybe there is some truth to all the MBIII rumors. Hard to say.

As for Tate, that wouldn't surprise me. We really liked P Harvin coming out last year, and I think quite a few look at Tate as a Harvin-esque type player.

I keep thinking either Spears or Carpenter. I still think there's a chance Wade sees Hatcher as our starting LDE next year. Plus we've looked at several DL in the draft.

Carpenter would be more a dumping of a guy we don't plan to keep anyway, like Akin Ayodele.

I could see Spears being moved.

I don't think we'd get much for moving Carpenter though. Don't think moving him would help us move up much. Maybe a 4-3 team like him though? Better fit there, imo.

You sure about that? I'm about 90% positive Harvin was a guy we had "in the box."

Yhea, pretty sure about that. Hopefully someone else can confirm.

Yep, supposedly we did have Harvin in the box.

We probably liked his talent, though. :)

I would have to agree on Spears or Carp. Those are the obvious guys but I think you can throw in Marty B. to fill out the usual cast of characters, so to speak.

People will get all hyped up thinking about Barber, Spears, Carpenter or Bennett being the trade and then either no player will get traded or it will be some jag like McQ just so we can get an extra 6th or 7th round pick. :laugh2:

Well, you may be correct. My apologies in that case.

I might be wrong but I thought we tried to trade up for Maclin.

Given the kooky CBA rules this offseason, there could be a lot more wheeling and dealing for current NFL players on draft day than usual.

I'd even take that for a player like McQuistin who we won't keep anyways.

Good point Rosh. I don't know which way the rules might swing in favor of but I could certainly see a situation in which we see more guys getting moved because of the CBA.

Your apology is not accepted. Your behavior in this thread is inexcuseable, and quite frankly, I'm disgusted.

You're dead to me.

Bout time someone took him down a peg or two for acting in such a manner in this thread.

Good stuff. Thanks for the update, CL.

Thanks for the news CL

I firmly believe Martellus is going to be sent packing to Cincy in the 2nd when a guy we really like somehow tumbles at their spot.

Maybe even our 3rd,5th(from the tradeback),Carp and Spears for the Phins 2nd?

Imagine if those deals both happened AND we traded down.

4 2nd round picks?

Talk about reloading your roster.
