On Jason not having team prepared.
Jerry answer: nonsense

On ref who threw flag on Jason:
Jerry answer: said the ref was thin skinned, basically soft.

On Dak losing money.
Jerry answer: paraphasing, basically said that is ridicoulous.

On Report from Vegas Jason has 2nd best odds to be fired in season

Jerry answer: don't get your money, yoI'll lose .

Also gave glowing news about Tyron Smith being available, also maybe Woods, and thinks Cooper injury is a non factor.

May have missed some. But this is what I got.

Thanks for the scoop.

I never understand people who put any credibility into an owner backing his coach during the season.

I mean any owner has no choice but to say he backs his coach. Any hint he is not backing the coach is a giant neon sign that he's thinking of making a change.

Jerry backs his coach now because frankly, the season isn't lost yet. They are 3-2, not 0-5. Now if this team doesn't make the playoffs or it tanks from here? Jerry is going to likely fire Garrett despite what he said this morning.

What? Jerry still intends to pay Dak?

I'm stunned.

Lame Duck coaches don't work. Even Holmgren as a Lame Duck coach in Seattle failed. Jerry should have extended him 2 years, and then if need be fire him. Not like he couldn't afford the loss.

Lol....has Jerry fired Garrett? How many times has he backed him during the season. How many times did you say Jerry had to say this. How many times after saying it has Garrett came back the next season. At what point do you stop making it about what you want and start believing what the man says. He's been backing him for how long...lol

I would save TS and Hopefully Get LC back for the Eagles game..heck I would hardly use Amari unless its an emergency, suit him up but lets see if Gallup can handle the load for the jets.. we need to be all hands on deck to beat the eagles.. its a must win for first half off the season..

I dont take anything Jerry says seriously , he will say anything and go back on it later..

Except he keeps saying it and he keeps holding true to his word so at some point you have to take him seriously

So you think Jerry will back him forever?

In other words, Jason Garrett can coach here as long as he wants regardless of how the team performs?

Didn't say he will Coach forever. But to dispel his backing of the coach is crazy when he's shown you in the past he legitimately back his coach. How many times have people around here made those claims only to be disappointed at the end of the year

One Word - Delirious

You can't believe a word that gets said into a microphone. No coach/GM/etc in their right mind is going to dis anyone in the organization in that setting. Rightfully so.

Who said his backing of Garrett is "crazy"? I didn't.

I simply said it should surprise no one he is backing Garrett now. One, the team isn't in a death spiral (yet). They are 3-2. No owner would openly question his coach in that situation. Two, Jerry also knows any hint of wavering and it will open the flood gates of questions about Garrett going forward. Any owner would do the exact same thing Jerry did here unless the owner was dead set on firing their coach after 5 games.

But we also know Garrett has no contract beyond this year. So what Jerry says right now really has no bearing on what he might say 4 games from now (if the Cowboys lose all four games or go 1-3, for example). Nor does what Jerry say now have any effect on what he's going to do at the end of the season, if say, we fail to make the playoffs.

Jerry said what he said because he has to say it at this point. It's what any owner would say in the exact same position.

If you can't see that, then you are just willfully blind.

You’ll get good odds from Vegas on that bet. You should totally take it and clean up.

That may in fact be the case, Jerry needs a yes man, what respectable coach would want to work with Jerry?

Like most or all here, I for one am just tired of the same old song and dance coming from JJ...

Why would I do that? I don't think he will be fired in season and never stated he would be or could be. If he's getting fired, it's going to be in the offseason.

All I said is what Jerry says now is no different than what any other owner would say right now given the circumstances. He basically has to say what he said unless he wants to invite further speculation about his coach's future.

EDIT: I guess it is possible if this team just went on a crap run going like 1-5 over the next 6 games, Jerry could then pull the trigger in season but that seems very unlikely (one, I still think he would wait, two, I doubt we would go on a crap run like that, we are too talented to be that bad).
