have any of you ever seen this show? it is hilarious. I am watching it right now. I started watching over the Christmas holidays, when I found it one night on BBC America. The Writers of this show were brilliant.

I have seen a couple of shows and it is well done. The American version they brought out several years back didn't catch on although I thought it had potential. It needed some tweaks, but did not last long enough to make them.

They made an American version that was intended to replace Friends and it bombed horribly. I'll be honest, some British shows are just too dry for me. I love Monty Python, Benny Hill and a lot of British humor in general but some of their "serials" are just too slow and dry. For example, I think the American version of the "Office" is so much better than the British version. My problem with British shows are not the writing but the direction and dialogue. They are so incredibly witty that they will include several jokes and puns in one sentence but the problem is it occurs so fast with a deadpan delivery that it's almost robotic in a sense.

Have you seen 30 Rock? Now that is totally my type of humor. I still laugh about the Middle Easterners who were suspected of being terrorists but were really taping themselves for an audition of the Amazing Race.

I think if the american version would have been on cable, it would have done so much better......it was a bit to racy for one of the 3 networks. i enjoyed the few episodes they did air. That is how i heard about the British one....my friend told me when we were discussing the new American one.

I hate when they finally get a decently entertaining show and then cancel it. I liked this one drama called Blind Justice about a blind cop, but they killed it after 1 season.........that sucked....I thought it had a chance to make it at least 4-5 years....

But heck........Seinfeld almost got cancelled.....

Damn the Young Ones was great. I saw most of the originals on MTV and loved them. Watching the DVDs a few years ago showed that not only had the show stood up but that I really didn't get much of the humor back then. One of the greatest shows ever.

Coupling now.

Rented some of those and felt Season 1 was crap until about halfway through. Porno episode was genius and a can't get the episode with the hot Israeli chick out of my mind.

I was drunk at a friends a few months ago and he put on Coupling Season Two. Lame. Double lame that three guys were watching Coupling drunk on a Friday night.

Never watched Coupling. Perhaps I should give it a go.

My favorite BBC America show is Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares. GOOD GRIEF is he one rude and obnoxious beast. I love it!
