Can't tell my courage from my desperation...
Sorry guys posted too quick. This Cooper trade epitomizes Jerry just doubling down on the previous mistakes he has made.
We are 3-4, effectively 2 games out of first place, do we think we will go 7-2 the rest of the way or even 6-3? I don't know how two teams from the NFC east make the playoffs?
I still can't believe we paid full price for a distressed asset. I'm sure John Gruden was losing his mind when the Cowboys called and offered a first round pick for Cooper.
Draft picks are more than just getting a young player... its getting that player at a 4 year fixed asset cost with the ability to hold him for the 5th year.
I don't understand how Jerry can be a wise businessman and be such a stupid owner/GM.
I will give credit to our front office for making good choices in the draft over the past few years, which is another reason to not trade the pick.
The Niners traded a 2nd for Garoppolo , this board would have lost their collective minds if we got him as our QB.
I would much rather spend money in FA on a WR like we should have this offseason than lose a first rounder.
Cooper, I dont think makes sense for team for the price we paid, i would have rather traded a first and third for OBJ, no one was going to give them 2 one's for him.. teams are not stupid other than us.
It is so hard for teams to be honest about their own talent, that is the toughest thing to do. ..Evaluate your own players.. The great organizations know how to do that, and dare I say Gruden out foxed us.
