Quite a few folks were singing his praises back then. Looks as though the tune has changed.

We were enamored by 4.37 speed and 10 picks in college

can someone post all the love he was getting on draft day back in 2007? That was really sweet and will give him something to remember when he's out of the league this next year.

6'1 200 pounds
Also had a good broad jump, but don't recall exactly (11 feet?).
I lost all memory of his short shuttle time too.

He doesn't have the hips, his speed is excellent.

You definitely need hips to play in the NFL... I don't ever recall an NFL player who didn't have hips...

I'm in favor of using all 11 draft picks because the following players need to be cut or pushed.. Brown, Watkins, Ball, Proctor, Free and Marten.. If the rookies don't make the roster so be it.. at least try to improve the talent level...

what he needs to do is work out hard in offseasoning conditioning, bulk up to about 15 pounds of muscle in chest area etc, and get stronger to tackle

this is it for him though, this is his 3rd year, and most likely the cowboys will draft a safety this year too in the draft

Doesn't hurt to have more muscle but I think he needs to increase the muscle between his ears and learn how to turn his hips. I believe this is something that can be learned even though it doesn't hurt to have this come naturally.

people jumped on me when i pointed out that the school he played at plays terrible teams that don't have any scholarship players

I'd love to see him turn it on this year but realistically, he is a major longshot

I think he's camp fodder and will be gone on the first cut down.

He just cant play.

I really liked Brown in that draft, I thought he could be an excellent sleeper pick. With that said, he's gone this year unless he can show something amazing in camp, which is obviously very doubtful.

One thing that might save C.Brown is this mythical "star" position.

Jerry has made several comments about wanting to use more coverage guys in nickel and dime packages.

Brown won't tackle anyone, it seems. But the guy has range. He has long speed. He has nice ball-skills. So he still has a shot, I think.

He should of been a wide reciever.... Cause Safeties are supposed to tackle...
