Often a good fight between good players is a good thing. They end up venting, getting things out in the open and getting past the issues. They often become good friends. It ends up being good for the locker room and the team. Not saying this will be the case here with the Raiders but it could be.

Good news is that the heavily tattooed wounded warrior is taking 1st team reps all TC for the Raiders and is on schedule to start week 1. He isn't on PUP or scheduled to miss multiple games to start the season.

I think the “2 years left” is really just some message board stuff that hasn’t gone away.

Here’s what his world renowned surgeon said

“We look forward to Maxx returning to his elite level of performance this season as planned and for several more to come.”

He also said this in March.

“The risk will lessen as his recovery progresses and his return to performance over the next few months becomes clear.

And what he told Maxx directly in a follow up “Your knee is great. You're exactly where you're supposed to be or even ahead of schedule."

I also don’t buy that the Ravens backed out because of his injury. They already knew about the surgery and had his medical records well before the trade fell apart

I think they saw Hendrickson sitting out ther with no takers and saw his price dropping and simply decided they’d sign the free agent rather than spend two firsts. The fact they were literally on the phone with Hendrickson while they walked Crosby out of the facility and signing Trey an hour later.

Baltimore also has a history of shady dealings when it comes to screwing over trade partners and players by backing out at the last minutes.

I just dont think it will be the same price that the Ravens paid anymore. Dallas allegedly offered a 1st, 2nd, and Osa. Don't think the offer is identical. That is the equivalent to offering a 1st, 2nd, and a 3rd (Osa netted a 3rd from the 9ers).

The Cowboys offering a 1st and 3rd plus a player may get it done. Not sure Jerry does anything or that the Raiders bite but...I'd try hard to get it done.

Considering that he fought having surgery because he wanted to keep playing, that isn't a surprise to me.
