What sort of year do you guys seeing Cousins have in DC? How do you guys see this playing out between Cousins and the skins after this season?

Depends on Terrell Pryor IMO. If Pryor can catch onto the system that would be a big help because they are missing a lot in the passing game with Desean Jackson gone, but Jackson was a terrible blocker while Pryor can block well. Pierre Garcon was a great blocker. I don't know what Doctson brings to the table, but it's a risky proposition to replace a solid veteran in Garcon and a great deep threat in Jackson with essentially a rookie in Doctson and Pyror who may not have the skills to play in a West Coast offense.

But if they can get some solid production from both, I think they have 2 dual deep threats that can block and help out the running game and help out with Crowder and Reed underneath.

The only other issue is the loss of McVay who is a brilliant designer of plays. Obviously, it's not like McVay takes his schemes with him to LA, but now teams know those plays and he's not there to come up with new play designs.

My guess is that Cousins does alright, but probably a little worse than last year. And then it will be a real fight between fans and between management on whether to give Cousins a deal of more than $25 million per year or to trade him.

Just want to note that McVay didn't design plays in DC. At least not much. It's Gruden's offense, McVay was our playcaller.

Cousins will likely have a productive season again. Pryor looks very good, he worked out with Antonio Brown in the off-season and seems to have emulated his work ethic in improving his receiving skills. Many people have noted being surprised by his route running. So far, no one has been able to cover him in camp. Doctson has also looked very good. The minor hamstring injury was concerning, but apparently he'll be 100% next week. I'm not concerned about the offense at all. The offense will be fine. The Commanders season really hinges on if the defense can be better. And although they've added a lot of new pieces, that remains to be seen.

On paper their offense looks very good. Good to very good offensive line. Although you have to wonder if or how long Trent Williams will be elite. There Wide receivers are a deep bunch and if (big If) Jordan Reed stays healthy they have as much talent in the passing game than most teams. I am not sure what they will do at running back but they have been able to survive with a short term solution there.

I was really surprised Pryor signed only a one year contract this offseason. I thought Cleveland would put a priority in resigning him. He has progressed each year as a WR and at least to me, looks like a number one receiver. He will get plenty of chances to prove that this year. I thought his play last year with a bad QB in Cleveland, proved he was worth a bigger contract. I guess we will see this year. I think it was a really nice gamble by the DC team.

Reed is the key to that offense, he is one of the toughest players in the league to cover with his size and speed. Too bad for them he can't stay on the field.

One of their games is against Carolina, right now Carolina is a wild card they could be somewhere between the 2015 team and the 2016 team which makes them closer to a 1st place team.

That thing kept getting funnier and funnier the more I watched it,,,but I was in pretty high orbit at the time, too.

My hope (as a Cowboys fan) was that Pyror was a contract year wonder and a headcase. Looks like he has it together.

Its gonna be interesting to see how much Doctson contributes. I really like him in the draft and he has legit #1 WR ability but I thought he was a bit raw as well and it would bena process. I do remember him looking good last year before getting hurt

That's incorrect. He designed plays there and called the plays. He is well respected around the league for his schematics.

Where exactly are you getting this from? The offense the Skins ran is Gruden's offense from Cincy. I've never heard anything about McVay designing plays. Now every year playbooks are modified of course, and he may have had a hand in that. But from what I know, his role as OC was as a playcaller(which he was very good at) and worked well with Kirk.
