This is one of the things that bugs me about Romo. I know Garrett understands the importance of the jump ball - I've heard a hundred times his story about the Thanksgiving game where he just overthrew everyone knowing that Irvin would go up and get it.

I don't know what it is about Romo that makes him not automatically go to this guy at every opportunity, especially in the RZ.

Dez leads in receptions and TD's right now. Looks to me like Tony looks to him first.

It's like he's playing against children. I don't think I've ever seen a better jump ball receiver.

Randy Moss...

He's the only one that craps on all these WR's

He's the originator and has done it with 2 and sometimes 3 players consistently. Say what you want about Moss, he keeps a straight head he would be the best WR ever.

"You got Moss'd"....nobody else has a saying like that in all of sports, except Jordan..."you got J'd"....these 2 revolutionized there positions and plays. (jump ball, and hitting a Jumper with D all over you)

Yeah, I'm familiar with him. I think Dez is better at jump balls than Moss. Even though Moss was taller with a bigger wingspan.

What???

I love Dez, and can be a homer for the guy at times, but let's be real. Nobody did or can do it like Moss.

Like I said I love Dez, but I do not see him jumping up between 2-3 defenders with consistency.

I do believe Dez is in the top 3 when talking jump ball WR's......him and Calvin are debatable

Not with Moss

I think Moss was the better deep threat and better receiver overall but in terms of just a jump ball situation, Dez is better IMO.

You've heard that story a hundred times but don't remember that he was talking about Harper, not Irvin?
"You want to hear a funny story?" third-string quarterback Jason Garrett asked after passing Dallas to a 42-31 victory over Green Bay yesterday.
"This week my wife said, `I don't give you football advice much, but when you are out there, throw the ball high to Alvin.' "

It's like that's too complicated for the Cowboys to figure out. It's like they feel like they're cheating if they throw a fade every time within 5 yards. Just do it man, stop playing around, just go with what's automatic.

I like dez as much as anyone here.............I'm sorry, but no.......absolutely not

@ 2:37

Those are 2 underthrown 50-yard jumpballs into double coverage with 'interception' written all over it. No qb has that kind of confidence put up lobs like that from that distance unless it's randy moss.

Randy Moss pretty much revolutionized the "jump ball" as i stated earlier, he changed the WR position, everybody wants that 1 big, tall, athletic guy, who can go up and snag the ball, when he can't use his speed to burn the guy.

Nobody has or can do it better then him, the guy would go up for jump balls or fades with 1 hand while being raped.

"You got moss'd"

Like I said if he wasn't such a character, he would be the best of all time.
