Going back in time...

That wasn't a perfect team. Just because there was no social media don't think they were angels. But the difference is they were committed to winning. On every level. From the owner all the way down. Sadly none of that exists today and all they are committed too is marketing.

Here yall go with this “class” crap when I’ve heard plenty of stories from guys in that era who said it was the opposite lol.
There was no social media no 24/7 coverage no in-depth into their personal lives

You saw them for 3 hours on Sunday watched the highlights Monday on the local news for 30 seconds and that was it

They was def on powder before games, they beat women, stayed drunk and were late to practice

Only difference between them and now is that winning was the absolute bottom line no matter what….you didn’t take a butt whooping and smile like it doesn’t matter and then go do a podcast

Oh for sure. I enjoy the stories for sure but class isn’t what I would call that era.

It just seemed like the team as a whole had some assemblance of class. I am sure the front office was just as crafty. Not near as much money involved.

I could go on but I will not. Different owners, different game inside and out.

Why does it say world champions and not national champions?

I always struggle to get to grips with this and the baseball thing using "world' in place of "American'
I believe it's for several reasons the NFL uses the wording "World Champions" instead of "National" or "American" Champions.

1) The NFL was created in America but it hires players from all over the world to come play in it.

2) The NFL holds preseason and now even regular season games not only in America but also other countries around the world.

3) No other football leagues around the world have the best talent and level of being performed to the very best as the NFL does.

4) The NFL is exploring options of possibly adding teams outside America.

POST EDIT:

BTW, it's good to see a fellow Cowboys CZ fan poster be from Scotland. On a personal level, I've got a little Scottish mix in my DNA. Mixture of Native American Apache, Hispanic (Mexican & Spanish) and Scottish.
