Given his age and injury history it's completely fair.

Romo as our most regressed player? Absolutely not. A broken collarbone last year doesn't affect his mobility or how well he can throw the ball and read defenses.

Maybe, maybe not.

I know being 36 and having undergone multiple surgeries, including on his back, does not help the cause.

He's played 2 seasons since he got the back surgery. We've already seen him ball so the back isn't an issue

Romeo the most regressed player?
Compared to 2015?
Really?

He'd have to almost be in a casket

Obviously not compared to 2015 because he barely played.

Compared to 2014, meaning it's reasonable to believe his age will start to show

Look I'm not saying he's washed up, but when considering a candidate for regression he's right up there with anyone on the team due to his age and the injuries he's had. The only other options for regression in physical ability are Jason Witten, who already is what he is at this point of his career, and Doug Free, who's athleticism was never a big part of his dependable play to begin with.

Romo's 36 and the odds are he's going to begin a physical decline soon. That's just the reality of the situation.

And if you're paying attention, that's exactly what the team has prepared itself for by drafting Elliott to run behind this line. You want to preserve Romo? Dont ask him to do as much.

Cowboys OMVP: Boy, you should have known by now....

Cowboys DMVP: The "we-fense" t-shirts. Honorable mention: Nicknames

Cowboys Most Improved Player: Byron Jones

Cowboys Most Regressed Player: Jason Witten

Cowboys Biggest Surprise (player): Morris Claiborne

Cowboys Biggest Disappointment (player): Jaylon Smith. No nerve regeneration. Begins to lose feeling in his legs my midseason. Watches the last few games in a wheelchair. In the offseason we see video of him trying to walk with Jerry and Stephen holding him on either side.

One answer only for the "who will be good": Romo.

Disappointment will be Elliott because of the expectations. Surprise will be Hitchens.
