I used to hate going to bars and hanging out with Cowboy fans. Mostly because these so called "fans" were no where to be found when the Cowboys were a bad team. They were just band wagoners mostly, expecting perfection. It seemed to get to the point were winning wasn't enough. They had to dominate.

Now with TO gone, it seems like it's time to go after Romo. He's suddenly become the wipping boy after any loss. He's not a leader, can't win the big one. Does anybody remember all the QB's between Aikman and Romo?

I live up by Buffalo NY. They haven't had a 300 yd passer in 42 games. Romo's had more 300 yd games in that span than any other Cowboy ever.

He came in to Buffalo last year and played horribly. Yet he held it together and won the game. Dallas has lost this year to two undefeated teams and could have beaten either one had a ball bounced their way one more time.

Get a grip. The seasons early and the defense is starting to come together. Romo is going to have bad games sometimes. He sure as heck has had a lot of good ones. Show some support.

I hate the band wagon fans. Always have.

That said, no one on here fits that description. Those here are not on a band wagon which means only backing a winner. They love this team but are frustrated and speaking their minds.

Nothing wrong with that. I do wish some of these so-called realists had the sack to tell us who the best teams are but they never do. They simply point at the Cowboys flaws and scream "I told you so." They never predict anything but doom and proclaim brilliance.

Same here, I have sat at half empty Texas Stadium in the late 80's when things were not going great for the team as in the late 90's. My own feeling support you team in good times and bad don't be a part time fan only around when the team is winning. I hear some of these idiot in the SB years we are great I love the Cowboys but in bad times no where to be found.

try an original thought now and then

bandwagon jumpers oh please, every team has bandwagon jumpers, open your eyes

And youre saying its wrong to find fault with your own team? A Bills fan has to be content with failure. Wait until you tasted success before you criticize ones who have.

Youre funny.

ooohhh im impressed (not that you care). Look at you backing the board.

To the original poster. No bandwagon here. Im upset with Garrett and Romo for that matter, but I never stop pullin for this right here :starspin....Never. I was around during the daryl clack days, when people were asking to bench white for hogaboom, and then asking to bench hogaboom and give reggie collier a chance. In 89 I listened to every blackout game on KRLD and acted a slap fool idiot when downs deflected the ball against washington to give us one victory. Yes sir I have been a fan longer than the Owner has been, and I wont let garrett, the release of TO (well documented that i disagreed) or a few fumbles and ints by Romo change that, because I was her cheering for that blue and silver before they were around.

With that said Romo needs to step it up.

I don't see how anyone who has been a fan for the Cowboys for the last 14 years could be considered a band wagon fan that only supports them when they win. They haven't won diddly

Bandwagon fans. What a lame term. Who cares.

If you like the Cowboys, from yesterday or since the inception of them good for you.

How can anyone call another fan a bandwagon fan.? LOL

Hell, I see it as being able to get more Merch for myself and training camp was always more nice when there weren't 15,000 morons there. :laugh2:

I don't think there are any bandwagon fans here. At least not among the regular posters. There are just people here with strong opinions, one way or another, and they're not always going to jive with people who are optomistic or like to see and praise the good with the bad or vice versa.

I think we have had a few. I recall a certain so called Cowboy fan who all of a sudden became a Cards fan last year. That is what I call the double bandwagon fan. :laugh2:

I was at Texas Stadium when NFL bust #1, Ryan Leaf, slung his sloppy lateral pass right into the hands of Jeramiah Trotter just seconds before halftime only to have him return it for a pick-6. Final score, puking 38-3 loss to the Eagles. I have never been to a Cowboy win in Texas Stadium except for the final pre-season game in 1989, Jones' and Johnson's first year. Oh the memories... sigh. Better times are ahead however.

This argument is ridiculous. So he's better than quincy carter and hutchinson, that doesn't mean he's a good quarterback, it means he's better than a couple of washouts.

All suck is not equal, just because romo can throw for 300 yards doesn't make him a good qb if he can't pull it together and consistently win the ones he needs too.

To be upfront I'm of the opinion that we fire wade and Garrett, find a new coach and give Romo one more year under a better staff, but let's not call this guy a franchise qb until he earns it.

the Dallas fans and media find a member of the organization to blame each year and never let up.

In 02 it was jerry. In 03 at the end of the year it was Quincy, hambrick and mario edwards. In 04 it was Vinny testaverde, in 05 it was rob pettiti and Bill parcells. IN 06 it was drew bledsoe and Bill parcells, In 07 it was roy williams and jacques reeves, in 08 it was T.O. (and deservedly So) and now its wade, garrett and romo.

People who cant think for themselves let others think for them and then they just tag along. Once the mob is loud enough they get attention.

After 12 1/2 years of Jerry Jones losing is not as easy as you think. Even the lowly Buffulo Bills have probably won a Play-Off game in 12 1/2 years.

I am not sure they have. the last time they were even in the playoffs was with wade and they lost to the titans, the year before that 98 they lost to miami.

I dont think they made the playoffs in 97 or 96.

Its like us, them, kc and detroit who havent won in forever in the postseason.

So it's finally come to that with Jerry Jones and some people still blindly support their Dallas Cowboys being included in the same conversation with the absolute worst in the league for over a Decade.

Never thought I'd see the day when Dallas was grouped in with the likes of Detroit, Kansa City and Buffalo for the longest current streak of Non-Winning in the Post Season.....some people are okay with being one of the bottom dwellers and act like it's a weakness to long for swimming upstream.

It's easy to point the finger at the fans when ***** aint going so well in Football world.

Jesus people wake up..Why is everybody pumping their chest lately with this crap? Zrinkill with his antics and people claiming they arent real fans because they lay blame on piss poor play on X player.

...This team deserves all the crap it gets thrown it's way. The lack of preperation, mental mistakes, stupid effortless play week in week out. No consistancy starting from the top of the franchise to the bottom and ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY.

The POSITIVES ARE:

Brookings, Ratliff, Kosier, Deon Anderson, witten and for two weeks now the Defense has buckled up. That's about it. And stop with this romo stuff too, He's been mediocre so far. I still support him obviously. just want him to play better.

I dont get it. I agree with everything you said, until you had TO as the only deservedly so.

Your last quote is perfect, but you dont see that it happened to you with with #81. He simply was not the blame for last season. If romo does not go down and we dont have to endure brad johnson the whole TO uproar is a non factor. The team underachieved, fans and media wanted blood, TO was the easiest target. If you hate the dude, hate the dude, if you are glad he is gone, be glad he is gone, but HE IS NOT THE BLAME.
