Let me suggest what I think the future will hold.
We will beat up on the teams we should, the Titans, the Texans, and probably sweep a team like that Deadskins. We will probably make the playoffs. We will get knocked out.
Drew Bledsoe is not good enough. Good enough, with this team, to make the playoffs, not good enough, with any team, to guide a team to a Super Bowl win.
So, if you are happy with that, then you want more of this. It's like watching a movie you have seen before. You might forget some of the details along the way, but the outcome is always the same.
I've said for a long time that I'm ready for our future, WHATEVER it might be. I'm tired of retreads at the QB position.
That is why I had hope for Henson. Not because I'm a Henson fan or a Michigan fan, I was neither before he came to Dallas. I had hope because I want a young QB, home raised (not imported from another team), that can be with us for years.
I'm still not hopeful that Romo will be a Super Bowl QB, I really don't think he will be, but I would rather see him right now. If Romo doesn't have "it", then give what you have to give to draft a young QB that you will commit to that you DO think has it.
I think Drew Bledsoe is a class act, I really do. I think he handles himself like a franchise QB, he always has. I think he wants to win as much as anyone. But I see some weaknesses that, in my opinion, he just won't ever overcome.
