Let me suggest what I think the future will hold.

We will beat up on the teams we should, the Titans, the Texans, and probably sweep a team like that Deadskins. We will probably make the playoffs. We will get knocked out.

Drew Bledsoe is not good enough. Good enough, with this team, to make the playoffs, not good enough, with any team, to guide a team to a Super Bowl win.

So, if you are happy with that, then you want more of this. It's like watching a movie you have seen before. You might forget some of the details along the way, but the outcome is always the same.

I've said for a long time that I'm ready for our future, WHATEVER it might be. I'm tired of retreads at the QB position.

That is why I had hope for Henson. Not because I'm a Henson fan or a Michigan fan, I was neither before he came to Dallas. I had hope because I want a young QB, home raised (not imported from another team), that can be with us for years.

I'm still not hopeful that Romo will be a Super Bowl QB, I really don't think he will be, but I would rather see him right now. If Romo doesn't have "it", then give what you have to give to draft a young QB that you will commit to that you DO think has it.

I think Drew Bledsoe is a class act, I really do. I think he handles himself like a franchise QB, he always has. I think he wants to win as much as anyone. But I see some weaknesses that, in my opinion, he just won't ever overcome.

I'll bet my mother's life on us not making the playoffs with Bledsoe as our starter the rest of the season

And yet Hensonsucks was drafted by someone else, traded for by the Cowboys while Romo has been a Cowboy his entire career. I find this highly illogical.

Highly illogical people, find it difficult sometimes to be intellectually honest. So did Drew Henson ever play for the Texans? Nope. And didn't I just say that I would like to see Romo right now? yep.

You can go back to your own little world now.

Irony is, the guy in your login name and your avatar probably had a worse game than Bledsoe.

:bravo:

I agree 100% with everthing you said. We wasted the last two years on retread QB's, now we are wasting a third.:banghead: Romo may or may not be the answer but we will not know until he gets some playing time. One thing for sure is that Bledsoe is not the answer.

yep, and what does that have to do with this thread? Absolutely nothing. Did you read where I said if Romo doesn't have it, lets DRAFT SOMEONE WHO WE THINK DOES, AND SOMEONE WE WILL ACTUALLY COMMIT TO?

That kinda rules out Mr. Henson doesn't it? yep. In other words, Henson wasn't it, was he? So lets find him. I have my doubts about Romo, but I'm ready to find out.

I liked Henson too, but he's gone. He may turn it around in the future, but BP's track record is pretty good in terms of letting players go.

I like Romo as well. Hell, I hope Romo is the future, because I can't wait another three years for another player to develop. I see a little Staubach in him, a little Favre, and a little Montana. I want him to play against the Texans. If there is a time to make a change, this is the time to do it.

I want a future QB on this roster now, while our defense is still young, and our QB is as well.

I never really thought we could win a super bowl with Bledsoe as our starter. Than again, I never thought Big Ben could win one like he did either.

Well I was certain and am Certain Bledsoe will never win a SB, and I did think Ben would win a SB or two before end of his career, of course it depends who will be his HC next few years etc.

It's most commonly recognized from the theatrical masterpiece aptly titled "Conan the Barbarian." However, I believe it's actually originally taken from one of Genghis Khan's more talkative, cheery conversations. ;)

I believe it is Arnold Schwarzenegger, in Conan the Barbarian.

Well said, rcaldw. I don't know why people continue to beat the Henson dead horse... You clearly said that you just favored him because he seemed to be a talented young guy, but some people still want to make this a Romo vs. Henson thing.

But you were spot on about Bledsoe. Complete class act who is nothing but an honorable professional... But he's just not going to be able to get it done for us.
