I would like to say that the Commanders will beat the Giants because it would make the Giants question their abilities while setting the Commanders up with false hope. That said, I just don't see how the Commanders can beat the Giants.

The Giants are the Superbowl champs and have looked good in preseason. The Commanders were lucky to even make the playoffs last year and have looked terrible this preseason.

If they can keep the score close and prevent the Giants from getting any pressure, then they have a chance, but....

I dont hate the skins because they are really not a threat therefore I could care less if they win . Midgets win 31-10 in a laugher . In the end (season) they will be nowhere to be found .

I think Washington has a good shot of winning. I think this game will come down to offense, and I think the Commanders have more weapons on that side of the ball. The real question is whether or not Campbell has improved his mid-range accuracy. You can't really tell that during pre-season, and it's crucial in a WCO.

The Giants will no doubt pound the ball with Jacobs, as let's face it, this is the freshest he will be this entire year. But even with that, I think it's a wash when you compare him with the production Portis should get.

Regarding defenses, neither team would scare me all that much. Washington's best two defensive players are beat up and might not play(Landry and Jason Taylor), and even if they do it will be limited, while the Giants have yet to prove they can overcome the loss of Strahan and Osi. I may be in the minority, but I find the Giants' secondary very average, made better by a dominating pass rush that I'm not sure exists anymore.

Before the injury to Umenyiora, I would have easily given the Giants this game, especially with the problems the Skins have had at the RT spot (They demoted Jansen, and although he has not been that good the past 2 1/2 years, I'm not sure he's worse than the new guy). That isn't the case anymore. I'm taking Washington, with a score of 27-24.

I still think these two teams are playing for the bottom of the division.

Have you seen the Giants play lately? They are loaded at RB and they are more experienced than we are. Nobody like Portis...yet. And they have some pretty good WRs. And a good OL.....you get the picture. They have a pretty good secondary and a good pass rush. I doubt they are much better or worse than their last playoff game.

Despite all the homer remarks about the Giants they are a very formidable team who could make TO cry again. And they might not even be as good as Philly.

The NFC East has got three very good teams and another I refuse to dismiss until, if and when they're out of it.

We better come out firing for every game and esp the East games.

I think the game will be closer than some think but the Giants should win.

Since we can't figure out how we can influence it so you both lose, I will default to both WANTING and THINKING the 'Skins will lose. The wanting part is easy, I always want them to lose. They could play a team full of Osama bin Laden clones and I would still want the 'Skins to lose. (OK, well maybe not bin Laden, but you get my point).

The reason that I THINK you will lose is simple. You have looked abysmal in the preseason. I do beleive that this is normal, sice you are instituting a new offense under a new coach, etc... and that you are relying upon a couple of (seeminingly underacheiving) second-round draft picks to should more load than I would be compfortable with.

Also, even with the Gnats' terrible losses on their D, they are still a better team.

I read or heard somewhere that when Strahan didn't play, the Giants were 3-12....since he's retired maybe they go down the crapper.....but they still beat the skins.....Campbell will be a backup or out of the league in a couple of years.

Of course, in the NFC East any team can win at any time... but I just can't see the Commanders pulling this one out.

The Commanders have problems on offense, defense and on their coaching staff. And of course, they have serious issues at QB. In a QB driven league, that is a big problem.

Campbell just doesn't have what it takes to play QB in the NFL and Zorn shouldn't be a head coach. Those two things right there pretty much doom the Commanders.

The Giants are a pretty complete team with a more than competent QB and coach.

No contest.

Any chance a giant hole will open up in the middle of the field and suck both teams in? It's about the only outcome that would make happy.

I think the Giants win it.

I don't think the Commanders will be able to pressure Manning without significant blitzing, which will then give multiple one on one match-ups. I think the Giants will exploit those match-ups.

And on offense, I don't have any confidence in your QB.
