Pabst;2234575 said:I think Washington has a good shot of winning. I think this game will come down to offense, and I think the Commanders have more weapons on that side of the ball. The real question is whether or not Campbell has improved his mid-range accuracy. You can't really tell that during pre-season, and it's crucial in a WCO.
The Giants will no doubt pound the ball with Jacobs, as let's face it, this is the freshest he will be this entire year. But even with that, I think it's a wash when you compare him with the production Portis should get.
Regarding defenses, neither team would scare me all that much. Washington's best two defensive players are beat up and might not play(Landry and Jason Taylor), and even if they do it will be limited, while the Giants have yet to prove they can overcome the loss of Strahan and Osi. I may be in the minority, but I find the Giants' secondary very average, made better by a dominating pass rush that I'm not sure exists anymore.
Before the injury to Umenyiora, I would have easily given the Giants this game, especially with the problems the Skins have had at the RT spot (They demoted Jansen, and although he has not been that good the past 2 1/2 years, I'm not sure he's worse than the new guy). That isn't the case anymore. I'm taking Washington, with a score of 27-24.
I still think these two teams are playing for the bottom of the division.
