Champsheart;2158611 said:True, they have given some fat free-agent contracts, but know way do I see them giving up 2 1st rounders and a player. Not their style
skinsscalper;2158625 said:Can't say that I disagree much there, CH. However, in ANY bidding war, the Eagles have much more ammo than us to barter a deal.

cowboyjoe;2158631 said:smoaky is trying to track this down, to see if for sure,
smoaky says might be possibility to get bouldin, so hang in there;
so think this, jerry jones wanted glenn to sign the waiver, but now jerry says wait a minute, i might be able to get bouldin now with what bouldin said he wont resign with cardianls, so there might be something to this to get bouldin
smoaky said he will double check his sources and see what else he can find out; woooooooohooooooo if price not to high to get bouldin, but it will cost the cowboys something how much are the cowboys willing to pay in draft picks, etc, or trade players too,
so stay tuned will give more reports on what smoaky finds out more from his media sources;
i just dont want the eagles to get bouldin, that will make them pretty good on offense
Champsheart;2158572 said:Except for the fact they are way to cheap and would never pay it.
Rampage;2158649 said:i'll believe it when i see it. we've been teased with these kind of reports all offseason
Not a guarantee, but it would close one of the last holes on this team.Chocolate Lab;2158571 said:And I love Boldin as a player, but he wouldn't guarantee #6 anyway.
Bizwah;2158661 said:All of us have heard the phrase, "If it sounds too good to be true...it probably is."
I don't think this will happen.
One, the Cardinals are like any other team with players that make demands. If they give in to them, then it could open a Pandora's box...a ton of players might follow suit.
Two...as many have said, the Eagles simply have more to offer the Cards. They have a top-notch CB, two ones, and possibly a pro-bowl guard to offer. We have one first, a couple of seconds, a couple of declining players (Ellis and Henry), and possibly a first rounder that is a possible bust (Carpenter).
Three....The Cardinal brass simply hate the Cowboys and Jerry. Of all the teams the Cardinals play they chose us to stick it to on tickets. Ten years ago, the Cardinals were in position to make a trade at the top of the draft. Jerry had made overtures to trade up into the Cards position (number two I think) to draft Andre Wadsworth. Bidwell refused to trade with Jones. He said something to the effect of, "Why would I want to help them win another Super Bowl?"

If the Dallas Cowboys trade for Anquan Boldin during training camp, barring a barrage of late-December injuries, a freak snowstorm during the January playoffs, a complete collapse of the financial system, or a UFO invasion, the Dallas Cowboys will win the Superbowl.
Do you like that better?

I'd love to get Boldin, but it's not because he would make our offense unstoppable. I believe WRs don't win you Super Bowls.
I'd love to get him because he could be our #1 long after TO is done and gone, and we wouldn't have to worry about using a high pick on a WR and hoping the guy worked out. We all know what a high-percentage bust position WR is.
I agree on this, I want him here badly but I'd hate to see another Galloway style trade. Unlike that 2000 team, this one has some depth to trade, so I think it could get done.Chocolate Lab;2158677 said:I'd love to get him because he could be our #1 long after TO is done and gone, and we wouldn't have to worry about using a high pick on a WR and hoping the guy worked out. by the time T.O. is done Boldin will be 32 years old.Chocolate Lab;2158677 said:Heh...
