It's a nifty idea to summarize the most important stories that happened today with America's Team. The concept is clever, but the production quality sucks right now. Part of it is because I'm knocking off a lot of my Final Cut rust and also trying to figure out ways to use actual or relevant B-roll.

But I still think it's a solid idea:

So you'll be doing this every day of training camp?

Yes, I will try to. Today's "Cowboy Minute" is going to be very premature since I have an engagement tonight at 7:00 PM in Dallas. So, today's "Cowboy Minute" may omit significant story lines. Thursday is another day that is going to be very daunting and I might not be able to pull it off. We'll see.

I'd love to ask Shango for permission to use his U-Stream material from training camp. When I have time and a swift avenue of communication, I am going to ask him.

I like the idea a lot. The only suggestion I'd like to make is about the text in the video. The way it is now seems awkward to me.

Morris Claiborne.......

.....starts at right cornerback.......

.....in the morning walkthroughs......

It could be smoother, perhaps with a voiceover or scrolling text instead.

Just a suggestion. Otherwise, again, I like it.

I'm willing to try that. I probably won't get to it this week, but I have the software to do it.

The voiceovers wouldn't work for this product. Go back to the second story and the final story. Did you see how the soundbites/nat sound filled in the gap? That is what's lacking currently and what I hope to get by the time the season starts is nat sound.

It's a work in progress, and I'll evaluate all suggestions. Your scrolling text idea is one I'm willing to try.

Yeah, I see what you mean. If natural sound is what you're after, then that won't work. Scrolling text was just something I thought of off the top of my head, but there may be a better way of doing it...maybe two lines of smaller text...I don't know. Either way, I'm looking forward to seeing the next one. Keep it up!
