hey guys. kind of slow around here today, and I know that this obviously is not anything official but it is some good news.

A high-ranking Cowboys official told ESPN.com that he'd be "shocked" if Terrell Owens didn't play Sunday.

No surprise, but its always good to hear from the team, even if they won't go on record. The Cowboys expect Owens at "80%", which would leave him roughly 60% better than Patrick Crayton and 200% better than the rest of the Dallas receivers. Jan. 9 - 11:20 am et

TO at 80% has to be accounted for. Glenn at 70% has to be accounted for. It's just enough to keep the G-aints on their toes. Come on, Cowboys. It's time to get back on a roll.

I'd love to see another heroic TO performance like in the SB

Here's the initial report by Mosley....

T.O. update

January 9, 2008 11:04 AM

Just talked to a high-ranking member of the Cowboys organization who said he would be shocked if Terrell Owens doesn't play Sunday against the Giants. Cowboys coach Wade Phillips said Monday that T.O. would be a game-time decision, but I think the club knows he'll be ready to go.

He usually speaks on Wednesdays, but we probably won't hear from him today because of treatments on his left ankle. In addition to spending time in his hyperbaric chamber, T.O. has been using the Dallas Mavericks' underwater treadmill.

He's undergoing some form of treatment almost every minute of the day. The people I've talked to at Valley Ranch think he'll be at about 80 percent for the Giants game.

In other Cowboys news, quarterback Tony Romo spent a good portion of Tuesday's off day at Valley Ranch watching film of the Giants and meeting with offensive coordinator Jason Garrett. He normally speaks on Wednesdays, and I'm sure someone will ask him about his recent vacation to Mexico with the Jessica Simpson family.

Much more to come.

Funny thing happened in the locker room today. All of a sudden, the players were concern about Terrell Owens' ability to play Sunday -- Smokescreen, anyone? -- two days after declaring fit and ready to go.

Looks a lot to me like a campaign to create uncertainty around T.O. He's playing, folks. Period.

On another note, we did catch Owens right outside the locker room, where he was conducting a one-on-one interview with a female reporter from TV Azteca, while steering clear of the local press. Owens was in workout gear, with no tape or brace of any kind around his left ankle.

Meet Inez Sainz, the TV Azteca reporter who landed the exclusive interview with T.O. today.

Ms. Sainz, who has a wonderful personality, passed on a tidbit of T.O. news. She said that he told her his left ankle is feeling better, and he plans to practice today.
