I think JG already has....clap...clap...................clapThis is a really nice sentiment from Paea.
It is not often that a career mediocre player retires because he feels he cannot deliver the same mediocre performance going forward.
That is a very refreshing perspective and he should be applauded for it.
I guarantee you there's a lot of folks on this board that don't understand the significance of what Matthews was doing there because it didn't show up as a sack in the stat sheet.

LOL!
I swear I almost posted something naughty
Good one, brother
Idgit, are you still optimistic about this season? That's not a hand.
That's mainly a Swaim wiff to me. He has the job to get and stay outside the LB. Formation gives him a huge advantage at the start. His first step is inexplicably inside which removes his advantage to try to seal the edge and that's where he loses the battle. If he can seal Mathews inside, Tyron can blow up #31 and this play has a shot.
Our TEs have flat out stunk this year in blocking, and Witten is on the list. Sort of ironic given the huge knock no Rico was that he couldn't block.
But yeah, that is a great play by Mathews and it gets a big zero on the stat sheet.

Thanks for the response and time, El Presidente. It's like this. It's like watching a game where we're down 10-0 at the start of the 2nd quarter against a team I thought we were going to beat. I'm not happy about it. We're underperforming. The defense looks like crap, and it's more assignment-related than it is personnel related (with the exception of 1tech and LB). There's time to fix it. I'm not going to act up like a whiney-***** and embarrass myself. But I'm yelling at the kids to shut up and considering putting my cap on inside out and backwards.
No, there's a lot of football left to play. I'll be ok as long as we're in striking distance come Thanksgiving. But the Eagles do have an easier schedule and a two game lead. It'd be nice to see them drop one tonight so that they're back in realistic catching-distance when the divisional games start up.
First year that Mike Pope isn't on the staff. Probably not a coincidence that the play has fallen off for the unit as a whole.
That is just a really good play
