I think you are correct. Too early to give up on Prescott.Dak has a bad stretch Dak is in his soph season Dak will mature
Just needs a change of coachesI think you are correct. Too early to give up on Prescott.
What's the use in JJ holding himself accountable is there is no repercussions? It's hollow.
This notion about Romo not having talent is pure revisionist history. He's had prime Jason Witten, prime Dez Bryant, Terrell Owens, Martellus Bennett, Marion Barber, Felix Jones, who averaged 9 yards a carry his first year and 6 his second, Demarco Murray, Miles Austin, Anthony Fasano, and Roy Williams who was a probowler before coming here. We even drafted Escobar because Romo wanted him. Romo has also had the benefit of playing under parcells, sparano/payton for a couple of years. This notion that Romo was playing all by himself is a lie. He's also had defenses with Sean Lee, Rolondo McClain, Jay Ratliff, prime Demarcus Ware, Terrance Newman. He's also played a couple of years with Cole Beasley, Terrance Williams and Brice Butler. Had a better O line in 2014 that was on par, if not better than the 2016 one and is way better than the one we have now. If you want to say Garrett completely underutilized all of that talent then, sure, I'll agree to that... but this notion that Romo was carrying the team by himself or never had a team as great as this is fantasy. The 2014 team is easily better talent wise than this team. This is an O line that gave up 12 sacks in 2 games.
Romo sat for 3 years before his first start
Dak started day 1
Even then his stats are better
Once again everyone....
Dak inherited a much better team, a much qb friendlier team and was asked to do much less.
Can only imagine how Dak would have performed taking over a team mid-season in the stretch of horrible play.
Also let's remember that people were giddy to let Dak start from day 1 and then over a pro bowl qb who was healthy. So these excuses ring hollow.
Jerry in denial or is befuddled, thinks today is yesterday:
And from 2008 through 2013? Those 6 seasons?I don’t agree with the “much better team” comment at all. Teams were comparable. Tony was inserted because we were a playoff team. His team made the playoffs in 06 (mainly because he was made starter) and were the darlings in the league in 07, going 13-3 in Wade Phillips’ 1st year. The 07 team was loaded on offense AND defense.
