Analysis: Cowboys apparently trust their Southwest area scout. Lamb was the steal of the first round and the Diggs-Robinson combination softens the blow of losing free agent Byron Jones.

This is the best I've felt about a Cowboys draft in my adult life.

I hated the 2016 draft at the time (Zeke over Ramsey) (two pass rushers going in top of round 2 and us taking Jaylon) but getting a franchise QB in the 4th round was obviously something no one saw coming.

I give them the most credit for picking The Badasz. They had to make a trade for him. Didn't just drop into their laps like Lamb and Diggs.

How this draft perfectly fell to us has been crazy.
