CowboyZone Mock Draft

BUFFALO is on the clock at #9

Everyone is welcome to vote once.

Vote how you think the team WILL draft (not how they should draft)

I'll provide at least 8 choices for each team (sorry if I don't include your favorite and you're welcome to email me suggestions prior to a team's choice)

I'll leave the option out there for at least 4 hours unless it is so unanimous that I can go on to the next team. When we move on, I'll make a post saying the counting for that draft slot has ended and what the verdict is

Results so far

1. St. Louis, SAM BRADFORD, QB, Oklahoma
2. Detroit, NDAMUKONG SUH, DT, Nebraska
3. Tampa Bay, GERALD McCoy, DT, Oklahoma
4. Washington, RUSSELL OKUNG, OT, OK. St.
5. Kansas City, BRYAN BULAGA, OT, Iowa
6. Seattle, ERIC BERRY, S, Tennessee
7. Cleveland, JIMMY CLAUSEN, QB, ND
8. Oakland, TRENT WILLIAMS, OT, Oklahoma
9. Buffalo, ??????????

ON THE CLOCK:
BUFFALO
What will the Bills do with Pick #9?
  • Derrick Morgan, DE, Ga Tech
  • Bruce Campbell, OT, Maryland
  • Dez Bryant, WR, OK St
  • Rolando McClain, ILB, Alabama
  • Joe Haden, CB, Florida
  • CJ Spiller, RB, Clemson
  • Earl Thomas, S, Texas
  • Jason Pierre-Paul, DE, S. Florida
  • Everson Griffin, DE, USC
  • Brandon Graham, DE, Michigan
  • Anthony Davis, OT, Rutgers
  • Tim Tebow, QB, Florida
  • Charles Brown, OT, USC
  • Trade down ---must pick the team and spot
We are getting into pretty good trade down territory but.....it has to be specific.
If a specific trade down wins, then that team goes on the clock….so you don’t need to pick the team they trade AND the player

I don't see how anyone cannot pick CJ Spiller at this spot. Spiller is the pick.

With Clausen and all of the very top rated OTs gone, the Bills are hosed at #9value-wise. They would be begging to trade down and grab a lower ranked OT,DT,or WR.... but I'll assume they can't and throw a monkey-wrench into this early....

Dez Bryant, WR, Oklahoma St

Anthony Davis after a trade down
sounds great and I agree that is possible, but you need to pick the team that they trade with so if that choice wins, then they will be on the clock next at pick 9. Also we need to know where they'll be picking later....assuming it's round 1.

Bruce Campbell

They miss Peters more than they thought they would and find his replacement. They'll grab Tebow/McCoy round 2 or at #27.

update Monday 4/12 9am

Davis = 3 or 4 (the guy said Davis after a trade down so thats hard to count as pick 9)
Tebow =3
Bryant, Spiller, Campbell = 1 each

Because this was opened last night (and also because it's a toss-up right now) I'll keep it open for at least a couple of hours today

I'm shocked that some of you think Tebow will get picked as the 9th pick in the draft. Maybe there is a great chance that Buffalo would take hime in a trade down (to the late 20s or early in Rd 2...but I think no possible chance at #9. But that's why it's open voting!

Jason Pierre-Paul, DE, S. Florida

The Bills are switching to a 3-4 and will need someone that can rush the QB from the OLB position.

Terrible spot for Buffalo to draft at as Davis/Campbell are reaches at this point.

They go BPA and take Dez Bryant.

D Williams, NT Tenn, to help Buff move to their new defensive scheme.
