First, I am ticked off and frustrated as most of you all are and even more most likely. Let's get that out of the way right now, this team has no talented players because they keep shooting themselves in the foot with dumb penalties, blown assignments, dumb play calling, and lack of heart, focus and determination.
Now, lets get to the real issue of whats wrong with this team. Covering up for people on this team that starts from the front office with Jerry Jones, down to the coaches and players. Like Parcells said, you are what you are and this is a dumb team, starting with jerry jones to management, to coaches and players, and letting that attitude drift through the team.
1. I remind you of what Jerry Jones said, I have the final say on what players play each week, and I (Jerry Jones) make the final decision on the 53 man roster. AS most of you all know, we only have 3 cornerbacks on this team, that was jerry jones decision, and we let most of our good special team players go, again another jerry jones decision. Granted, some wrath needs to be at wade's and jason garrett's door, but it all starts with jerry jones. YOU wont get anything changed on this team, (till you all quit wanting the head of wade or jason or coach joe d. and call for the head of jerry jones, where most of the blame should really be).
2. Special teams, how can you go from a very good special teams unit in 2009, to one of the most awful special teams in the league. Starts with coaching, and jerry jones. I am assuming most of you heard jerry jones say with the kickoff kicked out of bounds, that put us in a hole, jerry said that we realized we knew the consequiences of dirctional kicks if you kicked it out of bounds, and we did. We had this same problem with directional kicks with bruce read special teams coach. So, what does buehler do, kicks it right down the middle so percy harvin can return it for a TD. If you look at most of the teams in the NFL, the other teams are returning kickoffs for touchdowns,all except for us, why?
Coaching, and right players that want to play special teams. Which points to the want too and attitude on this team. How many times have you seen our kickoff return players stutter or hestitate before they tried running. Bunch of times! Why? Attitude and practice and coaching~
3. If wade keeps his usual self by saying we tried hard again monday in his press conference, I will scream. Quit protecting the players wade, this is part of what is wrong. Scream at the players, turn over a table, get in the players face when they make mistakes on the field, and litterally chew them out, and make the players that do these dumb penalties run laps, so they remember not to do it again. Lack of proper training came with pads on, getting the players ready to play is what is killing this team. I said it in training camp, and so did Bryan Broaddus and alot of other media personnel, you cant run around in shorts practicing and expect to get anything done. This team doenst adhere to you giving them gravy and cookies by letting them off easy on the practice field. These players are not professionals when they keep making dumb stupid mistakes, that is not being a professional. And quit babying them wade. That is the problem!
Randy White said it best to, when you practice in training camp and practice during the week without hitting and tackling, you develop bad habits. Just like Jimmy Johnson said after the game, you have to get refs in practice that are drill sergeant type refs and will call penalties the way they should, not friendly type refs. Quit babying these players, they do not deserve babying!
Quit having marshmellow training camp and practices wade! Wake up jerry Jones! Fans are not going to buy your high priced tickets with way these players are playing.
Just like bryan broaddus said, and so did matt mosley and other writers, this team prepares well in pads, but they stink in shorts. What did wade have most of this team practice, shorts. What did wade have this team practice mostly in, groups. Till wade had to change and have this team practice together not in single groups while some players stood around goofing off.
And quit this darn stuff that I am a winning coach wade, over winning seasons. This is why you fail, because you dont practice the players hard in pads and as a group of tackling and hitting. Your team stinks wade! Just stinks, and so do you wade!
Again, we had a called timeout from the sideline, why? Again, we had too many players on the field, why? Thats out and out dumb players not paying attention. Just like when the team had free block down inside and let jared allen go unblocked to hit tony romo. DUMB! This is a dumb team.
Just like Bradie James was suppose to cover a TE in a game a few games back, and he blitzed when he wasnt suppose to. Again, Bradie James as I understand it, let the receiver that he was suppose to cover, number 40 I believe, catch the ball and rumble down for big yardage, because bradie james left his assignment and free lanced. DUMB!
Thats part of the problem on this team, your babying players, and not making them accountable, and letting them continue to make mistakes.
And the head coach (which he should have said after the titans game, there will be no more celebrations after scoring) but wade says you cant take away emotion. Part of this teams problem is too many players at key times hotdogging it and not being focused and have their head in the ball game. Now wade says there will be no more celebrations during the game, players can celebrate after the game when they win. That should have been done after the titans game, no more dumb celebrations.
Just like jerry jones said,one ref told him right before first half was over, he had to get his head in the game. Players arent being disciplined in practices and its showing up on the field. Along with back to basics with tackling and hitting, game type situations in practices.
Again I cried tonight and crying right now because this team is dumb, and no one is making players accoutable for making dumb mistakes. NO ONE is!
The players are even admitting their making mistakes, and some players not stepping up, but no one is making players accountable. WHY?
Again we had over 100 yards in penalties, that 7 points off of the board!
This team needs to be toughened up because we didnt have the team practice enough as a full squad in training camp and preseason games because wade didnt want to get players hurt. Now your seeing the results. Just like jimmy johnson said, you need a tough drill type sergeant refs and you need a tough drill sergent type head coach to get on the players, make them run laps when they make mistakes. And dicipline them, not say their trying hard, you have to put the players in game type situations in practice full speed in pads some in directional kicking, scoring and what are your players going to do, coverage responsibilty of linebackers like bradie james to stay with your assigment. Kickoff coverages, along with full speed returns, not hestitating.
I am also beginning to question if this team knows what a killer instinct is, because when we get a lead, we dont put a team away, but we let a team hang around till we committ some dumb mistakes again.
Which points to discipline! There is no discipline on this team from ownership to the coaches to the players. And that all starts with jerry jones.
There is still an outside change, but without no discipline, it doenst look good because these players arent focused and have their head in the game in critical situations, because to me in practice full speed game type situations are being prepared during the week of preparation with dicipline on players when they committ a penalty or error.
I feel the pain, hurt and frustration like you all do, just dont know what else to say right now. But this team does not have talented players because they dont play like talented professionals. Talented professionals dont make the dumb mistakes this team is making. I never want to hear the words, the cowboys have talented players.
