First, a win is a win, regardless if it was ugly or not. The name of the game is win, build confidence. Thats what this team needs now confidence in games, along with leadership.

I do agree with wade about one thing, this team is starting to realize that they are pulling together, and now are seeing team leaders stepping up on the team providing plays when needed. While stopping the opposing team with the cowboys defense, with the offense scoring with the last play of the game this time.

I am not sure if any of you are aware or not, but Jason Witten was kicking rear ends on the sidelines. Thefan 105.3 said so this afternoon after the game, with witten having players step up in the game.

Thats a step in the right direction, while Ratliff and brooking are leading on defense.

I also told you not to give up on romo, to at least give him till the 50th game. Now dont go overboard, and say romo is super yet, he still has a little more learning to do.

Next, really lets look at miles austin, granted he made the 2 huge runs, but honestly and truthfully did you see how those runs were made, poor tacking by the opposing team. I am not trying to take anything away from Austin, he did make the plays when he had too along withe the big jump to take the ball away from the defender. But, and there is a big but, there were 2 catches that austin should have 2 other touchdown catches that would have put the game away. Austin does have talent, but he has more work to do too. So, dont go gaga over what austin did. The 2 touchdown passes he didnt catch in the endzone were big too and austin didnt make them when he needed too. Thats what the game is all about, learning with experience, austin can and will get better.

Next, garrett's play calling was suspect again. Anyone could see that barber was having problem, but garrett kept putting him back in the game. And where was Bennett too, garrett has to start using players correctly. Choice was hot in the this game, and if garrett couldnt see that, then he is the wrong person for the job.

Now, while i am at it, were any of you comfortable with the release of duke preston at center? Jerry Jones is still in charge of the 53 man roster and players starting lineup, protection schemes, etc. Even Jerry Jones said so that he was in charge of these things, that needs to be addressed too.

Now, lets look at the penalities, and turnovers. Even Jimmy Johnson was on fox sports and said, dallas has been a sloppy team the last 2 years, and they were sloppy in the denver loss too along with the giants loss.

An radio announcer said it the best along with ex cowboys cb larry Brown, its the same ole same ole again. Wade said changes were going to be made, but penalities are happening again. That is lack of discipline from the head coach towards the team. You lose ball games that way, because the cowboys were very lucky today, when crayton fumbled and botched snap betwen gurode and romo. Just telling players not to do that doesnt address the problem. The radio announcer said wade has got to realize and find a solution to this sloppy playing and penalities.

What would we do without good ole ratliff. His blocked field goal, turned the game in my mind. That's a big plus for us, along with sacks by Igor, Spencer, Brooking and Ware. Was another outstanding by the defense again.

Hopefully, I am not sure if you saw it again, but Watkins was abused at safety again, so hopefully after the bye week, sensabaugh will be ready to go.

Hamlin played allittle better today, not awhole lot, but alittle better.

Brooking has been a good find for the cowboys, and i am glad we got him. Maybe some of his style can rub off alittle more on spencer, carpenter and jason williams.

What can we say about our special teams, yeah i know that folk missed another field goal, but teams arent returning big kickoffs and punt returns against us with the kicking of buehler.

I still say that we need a super punt returner, but you cant have everything.

Glad to see Ogletree in the game, at least he got his feet wet.

Now, I am not sure if any of you watched Fox sports before the game, but jay glazier said raiders management told their personnel people to call all nfl teams and tell them that the barn door is open with players available for draft picks. Or there any players that you see that we can get from the raiders that can help the cowboys. Yeah, I know the raiders are awful, but alot of that is due to al davis. Maybe we can find a player like when we traded for John Gesek or long snapper dale hellastrae.

Newman looks hurt to me, not sure what is wrong, but obviously something is.

I like Kevin Ogletree and believe he has a future at wideout, but that fumbled kickoff return could have been a death blow.

I hope Felix Jones is healthy following the bye.

What do you think about that guy Ellis from the Raiders. He looks pretty good, don't know how he would fit in with us though with the depth we have.

Just a thought.

:laugh2: Maybe he trade us Richard Seymour for a 7th rounder. Now he has a smoking crater for a football team and no first rounder in 2011.:lmao2:

Trade Bobby Carpenter to the Raiders for anything. What can we get for Ken Hamlin from the Raiders?

Just a thought.

Anthony Spencer is a complete 3-4 linebacker and Greg Ellis was not.

I know many are frustrated with Spencer for getting to close to big plays and not making them but they will come.

Troy Aikman and Joe Buck mentioned during the game that they were surprised when Matt Cassel identified Spencer as the defensive player he was worried about instead of Demarcus Ware.

Greg Ellis was always unhappy about something and he would not have been happy with Spencer starting in front of him.

It was time to turn the page.

We should have outstanding depth at outside linebacker next season with Ware and Spencer starting while Victor Butler, Brandon Williams and Curtis Johnson bolster the group as reserves.
