Cowboys’ First Three Picks

Not gonna lie, this makes me feel a bit better about who we drafted compared to who they did.

Davis was a lazy player in college.

He would flash his wow physical ability on one play then just loaf on the next 2 plays.

In the NFL he'll look dominant on occasion and might even have some great seasons, but he is a high probability of being a career underachiever that comes to camp over-weight.
- That is the exact description of Dontari Poe.

He'll probably look great as a rookie and fans will exclaim the Eagles got a steal, but let's look back on his career in 5 years to see if he was worth it.

Is it just me or do all three of these picks scream “we picked solely based on need”?

All 3 players have an Alpha-Dog mentality.

Tyler Smith has some of the Erik Williams nasty attitude on the field that the Cowboys have missed since EW departed.

Erik Williams was as important to the Cowboys 3 nineties Super Bowl wins as any player on that team.
- He set the tone.
- The Cowboys would have beaten the 49ers in the 94 season NFC championship if EW had played that game.

Garrett only wanted players that were choirboys. That resulted in a roster of 'too nice' players.

Reportedly, the Cowboys own self-assessment this off-season was that their roster was 'too soft'.
