Just pathetic:facepalm:

This team is about as anti-clutch as it gets, they just find a way to lose.

And please dont tell me they lost because of one bad call, not when Goff got smacked in the face on his pick and Donald was hog tied about 3-4 times with no flags thrown. There were bad calls/missed calls against both teams.

It sort of feels like this offense ate the cheese. And the defense is just mediocre.

That said, I had a gut feeling we were going to lose this one, and week one in the NFL is always weird. Especially this season. We’re coming up to speed with new systems on both sides of the ball. Apart from the coaching error today, it’s hard to be too worked up. Brutal watching games without fans in the seats though. Not much fun.

Totally agree my friend, not having any preseason games really put us behind the eight ball this year. No fans also just takes all the energy out of the stadium, even with the TV broadcast pumping in cheering it just is not the same.

For as much crap as I gave Garrett, I got to be fair and give MM the same treatment. Going for it on 4th down and not kicking the FG was about as dumb as it gets, you have to tie the game up at that point.

The OPI was a bogus call, but we got away with a couple ourselves like Goff getting smacked in the face on our pick. Oh well, not going to get too worked up over it considering everything else going on right now sports is not really at the top of my priority list. It was a nice break from everything for a couple of hours so that was nice. Hopefully we look better against Atlanta next week, we shall see.

Take care Idgit.

I got to admit, I am having some serious reservations about paying Dak $40 mill a season.
So is Jerry and that’s why he’s tagged. He can go out there and drop dimes all over the field when everything’s clicking. But throw in some real defenses and he’s all pro. The main issue is games like the win and in game last season against an Eagles pre-season secondary and he can’t get the ball in the end zone.Jerry sees all the games and that is why Dak won’t get an elite QB contract. Some unfortunate team may do it but not here in Dallas. He just needs too much around him to be perfect.

Good points.

If Dak wants to get paid top 3 money, he has to do better than he did tonight for sure.

Dak is basically doing interviews for other teams at this point.

I was hopeful a new coaching staff would help us in close games.

Last night they were part of the problem.

offense costed dallas the game even with the rams trying to give dallas the game.

When your organization values marketing and brand over hard core winning football you lose close games. That’s the primary issue in Dallas. It is, was and forever will be the culture led by Jerry Jones.

I have never thought Dak was better than middle of the road QB. Someone I would never tie up 20-25% of the salary cap on. The other constant is the genius OC that Jerry thinks he developed.

That game looked like several of last year's games. Close, not enough big plays on either side, out-coached, lose by one score.
