I can see us going 10-6 this year. In your mind, what could give us 3 more wins next season? 3 more wins would probably give us the NFC, and home field advantage through-out - If you could only fix 3 positions, what would they be, and would it be enough to give us 3 more wins next year?
It's going to be super tough next year, unless we really get a super draft, some good at least 3 players from round 1 to round 3, and at least 4 good free agents,
First, because, even Parcells said in one of his reports, he sees 10 to 14 guys gone from the cowboys next year, then u add in that we have Commanders, giants, eagles twice, then we play New Orleans, Tampa Bay, Houston and Indianapolis, while traveling to play Atlanta, Carolina, Jacksonville and Tennessee, plus either rams or cardianls, hard to beat a team twice in 2 years in row, then we will either play minnesotta, or 2nd seed team, out of those, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, Atlanta, Carolina, Jacksonville are going to be tough, then out of our division, maybe 2-3 losses, so super tough, im not saying it cant be done, but super tough.
For me, I say, a kicker too, maybe have the kicker now Sauchaum, or however u spell him name, I think a good offensive tackle either left or right for backup, to learn system for a year, or good super good offensive guard, we have 2 33 years old guards in larry allen and riveria. I do think that Tucker would be more valuable at guard.
So, I say a kicker, maybe
but a FS more important for defense, either free agent or draft
another DT-NT or DE-LB, (if we lose Glover or Ellis next year, need another Dlineman)
speedy WR (Glenn and Keyshawn are getting old)
then a OT, there are going to be at least 6-8 dominant offensive tackles in the draft
next year, so, the cowboys should be able to draft one in 1st to 2nd round or 3rd round, remember they got Erik Williams in 3rd round.
For me -
1. Kicker
2. Right Tackle
3. OLB
Kicker alone would have given us 3 more wins this year, so I don't think we're that far off. Right tackle would allow Drew to sling the ball more. And another great outside linebacker would allow us to shut down passing games (sacking the QB, causing more fumbles, causing more int's.
