until this team gets a defense that can play built they are not going to make any deep play off runs

It worked pretty good for DEN

It has and Elway knows football. Even knows when to crack his HC.

Jerry knows how to push one out that built a dynasty and won 2 SB's in a row. Left a team that won another and surely could have won 1 more in that run.

I guess I just deal with too much crippling depression, but I love the Cowboys, so I don't expect them to win another ring in my lifetime.

Car dealerships worked out, lol!

Jerry's a businessman, an elite one. We all know that. But on how to get us producing on the field, his record speaks for itself the last 20 years without Jimmy.

Funny how Bowlen knew all along how to make it win-win for Elway financially and then use what Bowlen saw in Elway on how to be a part of football after his playing career. A "C" level executive as a COO (Chief Operating Officer).

Elway is obviously now a V.P level executive for Bowlen. Maybe he didn't want to be Bowlen's personal right hand man back then and that's why he never initiated the opportunity offered to him.

Dallas went all in this year, how did that work out!

Every single year that Dallas goes all in, the results are a horrible season. I would much rather see them build an organization that strives to be stable every season instead of this up and down ride that they are on. Landry built that type of team , the Steelers have that type of team, why can't Jerry? Quit gambling and going all in during certain seasons. I want a consistent , quality team fielded every year that is respected in the league. This up and down stuff is a complete failure and the lack of championships reflect it.

Tony is an elite QB that wasn't even drafted. Someone will win the lottery
Doesn't mean you sign all your qb's off the street or bet your life savings on the lottery
Lots of teams have tried the all in approach and failec

I think the only window that has closed is that of some fans. I think there is still a lot of talent on this team that can win. Clearly there are some upgrades in the secondary that need to be addressed and along the DL. On offense I would like to see more talent added to the outside and along with a healthy Dez I think this offense can get going again. I still feel that taking a QB and having him work behind Romo will allow that so called window to open wider.
