I just hope we beat the Giants on Sept 10th and Dak has a very nice game.

If we lose that first game and Dak lays an egg, its going to be a very long year indeed.

And God help us if we lose to the Broncos the following week.

People will be howling at the moon for Jerry to call Romo and get him back on the field before the season is lost.

Better to just go 2-0 and avoid that nightmare.

Just read an article on ESPN, if it makes you guys feel any better they have the Giants as having the least enviable schedule. They have to play 4 teams coming off a bye which is more than any other team. They also have to fly to the west coast 4 times. And some people here are whining about the Sun night game then playing Thanksgiving? At least they gave us the Chargers and not a divisional rival.

I saw where the eagles play the Raiders in philly Christmas night................I guess that was to give Santa plenty of time to get out.

2017...????

As you can see from Jason Garrett's head coach record, he has never fielded a team with a winning record in back-to-back seasons. So based off of this trend line, Dallas should be 8-8 or worse. Will Garrett buck the trend and actually field a winning team in two consecutive years for the first time ever, or will he continue to prove he is nothing special? Stay tuned.

It's what I'm waiting for. Garrett has to put back to back great seasons together. No more excuses. The process should have been learned by now.

The only time he had a shot at putting together a second consecutive winning season was 2015, when the team played the vast majority of the year without the three star players that helped get them to 12-4 the year prior.

Some points:
1. New head coaches in Denver (no Wade Phillips coaching the Denver D as well), LA Rams, San Francisco, and the LA Chargers.
2. Aging QB's for Arizona & the Chargers, Denver has no QB, and a lackluster Alex Smith with the Chiefs.
3. Dallas will be better prepared to play the Gnats (Eli can easily be rattled).
4. Seattle outside of Seattle is a definitely a winnable game.

Basically, Aaron Rodgers is the only QB who has consistently scorched Dallas.
Wentz, Carr, Cousins, and Ryan can all be corralled, and knocked around if Marinelli develops an aggressive defensive scheme.

Dig deeper that schedule is not that difficult ~ assuming Garrett does not get out-coached (Andy Reid or Mike McCarthy will be a challenge) or fails to get the team prepared.
I like your message brother but there was an assumption in there I can't over look... "Garrett does not get out-coached". He's going to get out coached.

Exactly. The Garrett factor alone is enough to predict an 8-8 season. But the Garrett lovers only know about 2 of his seasons. The rest they were in hibernation for, and they never happened.

We play both LA teams this year and neither game is in LA :(
Who wants to play on that baseball field? Not even the Raiders want to do that. It's why they are moving to Vegas as soon as their new stadium can be built. I bet the Raiders host a Cowboys game in their first season there.
