2020 - CB Trevon Diggs - Pro Bowl, All-Pro, injured
2021 - CB Kelvin Joseph - out of the NFL
2022 - DE Sam Williams
2023 - TE Luke Schoonmaker
2024 - DE Marshawn Kneeland
2025 - DE Donovan Ezeiruaku

3 Defensive Ends in the 2nd round in the last 3 drafts, and that was AFTER selecting Micah Parsons in the 1st round in 2021. You can't say the Cowboys aren't trying.

Past 2nd round picks at DE - 2014 DeMarcus Lawrence and 2015 Randy Gregory.

Ill say this about Williams, he has had 9 sacks in under 600 career snaps. He definitely has flaws, but he is a very good pass rusher

True but that's the problem coz that's the only thing he's good at right now. If we didn't know better, we would think Sam has spent the last couple of years playing for a contract. The little things he needs to work on IMO........

Defensively we are overall more successful with second rd picks
only one was a dud

We knew that when we drafted. He was going to be a Robert Quinn type player

This DE group is going to be a breakout squad this season.

The D-line improves by two 2nd round choices from last season because Williams didn't play a single down.

Then you add in two double-digit sack masters in Parsons and Fowler.

The CBs will love this, panic-stricken QBs making desperation passes before being swallowed up by a gang of velociraptors.

Biggest thing he needs to work on is staying out the of NFL offices crosshairs, and taking dumb penalties.

I think it shows how we've been looking for that bookend end for a while. Hopefully between Kneeland and Eze, we have him without having to rely as much on the cheap FAs the Joneses bring in.

He’s been put in a postion to rush the passer so 8.5 career sacks isn’t that great. In his last 7 games he’s only had a half sack.

While RBs eat us up the middle

DE Sam Williams

Those are four strong defensive ends to bring heat and in rotation.

DE Dante Fowler
