It was pretty ugly early on. First few games our TEs dropped several passes, a couple that should have been TDs.

You must not know how to process stats. It absolutely provides context. Doesn't EXCUSE a "drop" but it also may explain why we have so many more than the AVERAGE. Every team will have drops...the # vs attempts provides context.

No it doesn’t. There were 37 passes dropped. That’s a hell of a lot of drops. 3rd most in the league.

To be fair, drops per attempt or drop % would be a better indicator of how reliable our guys have been.

Yes, the drop stat is extremely subjective.
I saw a clip of drops league leader Tyreek Hill today.
He has 10 "drops" and at least 7 looked like awful passes that he managed to get a finger on. The others were tru drops though.

I have no idea what our drops look like on average. Someone would probably have to through all of them to tell.

He probably had 39 targets
