The Cowboys have begun the season 6-1 14 times in their history making the playoffs every single time winning 10 division titles and 3 Super Bowls.

At the halfway point they are still 4 games up in the division in loss column .

The Cowboys have only missed the playoffs once after starting 6-2. That was 1986 after Danny White went down for the season and the Cowboys finishing 7-9 ending the Cowboys 20 consecutive winning seasons.

And that’s the only thing that could totally derail this season is Prescott going down for the season.

No reason not to win this week. Atlanta isn’t awful and have a vet QB playing decent. But we’re at home and are better. We have two tough ones next in a one week span. Got to have this one.

We aren’t missing the playoffs but our goals should be bigger than that.

Dallas needs that 1 seed but they may have lost it Sunday. They could’ve potentially ran off with it.

Now Tampa is probably going to get it and in order to get to the Super Bowl it will have to be done at their house.

Tampa could get it but then we still have a long ways to go before the seeding is determined. Based on games every single week I am seeing upsets. AFC every time they crown a team to beat that team loses. NFC really not much different.

Playoffs are always the primary goal. Especially when you’ve missed them 3 out of the last 4 years and not made a championship appearance in 26 years.

With new playoff format only 1 team from each conference receives the bye so 12 of 14 playoff teams will need to win 3 playoff games to reach Super Bowl.

The AFC West is only division without a team with a losing record. Unfortunately we have 2 games upcoming in next 3 weeks against two of them.

This is our toughest stretch on schedule with no teams currently with a losing record.

Tampa’s schedule is just ridiculously easy though.

Even if they were upset it might be one time. That’s how bad their opponents are.

They might have 2 losses left in them. Maybe..

On paper you may be right but the game as I continue to see is not played on paper. We will see how it all plays out and if by we do not get the #1 seed we will have to deal with it just the other teams who do not get 1st seed will have to deal with it.

Yeah a Brady injury is about the only way the Bucs fall off.

I realize the game isn’t played on paper but you can use common sense and make a pretty good guess at what’s going to happen.

I hope I’m wrong but Tampa has a walk in the park the rest of the way.

If we look at NFC playoff seedlings there really is only one bad potential venue in Green Bay.

Dallas, LA and AZ are all played indoors and Tampa another mild weather venue.

How is Tampa running away with it? You think they will win out?

Tampa just lost to the Saints what do you know about the Buccs that we don’t?

I’m not as worried about seedlings as I am having a healthy roster.

Remember we already have blown #1 seeds this era twice.

I guess a lot more if you think I’m wrong.

Dallas had a much worse loss than Tampa. I don’t think that at all defines Dallas. You think that game in any way defines Tampa?

I’d have taken 6-2 before the season. We still have a decent shot at the 1 seed with our easy schedule.

The Packers were the only team I thought had a better chance because the NFC North is terrible as well. But with the drama surrounding that team, I no longer feel that way.

It doesn’t define Dallas but what it shows is Dallas isn’t nearly as unstoppable as we thought and I’d say the same about the Buccs. It’s proof that both teams are beatable. That won’t be the last loss either team gets.

No no no no. We gave a game away without showing up and that's never okay. Losing a game here or there happens in this league, it's excusable if you put your best effort forward. But that no-show does not "bode well" with the good football this team put on tape their first 7 games.

Those games mean nothing. It doesn’t mean Dallas isn’t as unstoppable or anything.

It’s the NFL. Good teams losing is normal. Good teams losing frequently isn’t normal.
