This....
And I live in Ft.Worth.
No one can touch San Antonio.
South Side Fort Worth and even parts of North Side actually have a lot of authentic, very good Mexican food. I highly recommend Vallarta seafood and grill off of seminary for their mariscos. If you hit Hemphill, you've gone too far. It's before town center or "la gran plaza" but it will always be town center to me.
There are a lot of really good Taquerias in Fort Worth. Juanitos Taqueria, El Tecolete, and Taqueria San Luis just to name a few. They can be found off of Hemphill and seminary as well. El Tecolote is a food truck in front of the store that use to be Seminary Food store (it has a different name now but don't remember what it is)and that's off Mccart and seminary. There's also a good panadería called Ana Karen across from El Tecolete that is very good and affordable if you like pan dulce.
Completely disagree about San Antonio. Grossly overrated and overpriced. The food there is too Tex-mex for me, similar to Austin. The women in San Antonio are also fatter than tony romo in the offseason. Charles Barkley was not exaggerating, as I always have seen/believed that since I was a kid.
San Antonio is my least favorite city in Texas, too many chicanos that don't speak Spanish and it plays off the mystique of the Alamo way too much. The river walk sucks too and it's always nasty looking.
